Dun be offended by my remarks. I am juz saying if you find cck sports hall incovenient, then you can join other groups where it is convenient for you. If i m a good player looking for good sparing groups, (as far as i know there are many looking around for good players to spar with) then i think i will make the trip as it worth the walk.
CCK sports hall is 1 min walk away from the nearest bus stop. Bus 307 will take you there. So i think 1 min is really accessible.
Haiya, all theses are very argumentative one. If that guy's hse is not near mrt station but near bus stop, and it so happens that the bus stop has direct buses to sports hall, yada yada... But I think if you want to play, you should respect the organiser's decision. Don't question why it cost so much/so little, dont ask why so far, why so hard to go. Just my thoughts. **PS: I dont stay near a bus stop that has direct buses to the sports hall. I'm just quoting an example. I'd prefer it to be at Gombak too.
There are lots of nice people in this team. In fact, despite the early timing and distance, there are people who come all the way from the east, Bishan, Yishun, Woodlands, Jurong West etc etc. So come to join in the fun and make friends.
Hi chiamt02, it's really quite near to Yew Tee MRT. It's about a 10 -15 mins walk away. I can meet you at the MRT if you do not know how to get there. Cheers.
why should i be kidding when i take that route every sat?? it's only 500 metres away. if u walk fast like me 100m/min, den 5 min. if u walk slower at 50m/min, then 10 min. if u walk at leisure pace at 25m/min then 20 min.
take 307 from the interchange. i think is the 3rd or 4th bus stop. u should alight at the bus stop before the bus go past the stadium. press bell immediately when the stadium is in sight.

I don't see why asking a simple question (in fact it was meant as a light-hearted rant) about CCK being less accessible than Gombak equates to a lack of respect for the organiser. In fact even if the answer to my question was a simple "coz Organiser stays next to CCK SH" it would have been a perfectly acceptable answer no less! Guys, u have to take it lightly, it was a rant.. not a request, nor a complaint.
This group is the best that I have play in, player friendly, give player a chance to play regardless of their skill level. Player willing to help each other to improve. For your inform, I stay in the east side of the island. I still travel to CCK to play. Why, because the people is nice, friendly and helpful. Organiser original was someone else who emigrate to USA to work. He just took over to book the court, wait up in the morning at 6.45 am on every tuesday to ensure the court is be book. Can u do it. Just my one cent thought.?

well can you do it then? And by all accounts, did I ever say the organiser's job was an easy one? You seem to insinuate that I did. What has CCK being relatively further from mrt as compared to Gombak (a fact) anything to do with the hard work which the organiser puts in (another fact)? By stating 1 fact, I did not try to discredit the 2nd fact did I? Why so defensive? Did I hit a soft spot? Maybe traveling from the East to CCK had made you very grouchy?
Let this rest please. If you think its worthwhile to make the trip down to cck for the game, by all means I'm sure you're more than welcome to join. Just put in your name and turn up for the game. If you feel its too far or have other comments(price, location, someone you dont like, etc etc etc) just keep your comments to yourself, we are not obliged to entertain your rantings.
