    News from swissopen.com

At 1-0 in favour of Santoso Lin Dan put his hands to the side of his back, turned to the Umpire and said he was in pain. Referee was called over toether with the Doctor, and after some discussion Lin Dan decided to try and go on.
It was very clear he couldn't go up in smashes and after 4 more points Lin Dan went to the net, shook hands with Santoso - and retired 5-0............in second.

I think all we need to know are the facts. LD retired, SS won the match and progresses to the final. There is no need to use abusive language towards each other in the forums nor to professional players.

umm.. what do you mean?.. do you mean that LD didn't REALLY win the HK open against TH when he walked out?... lol if you watch the video, SIMON was like a man possesed... i didnt think that he could play that good... maybe he got a tip on how to neutralize LD's speed game...:p (umm.. from you-know-who?) :D

Suuuuurrreeeeee....whatever u say . A win is a win ;). Just like when LD won because TH walked out. One thing I have to agree...LD withdrew pridefully unlike TH in HK open. The HK open incident is like a child throwing tantrum, hehehe. This time it is a professional player being forced to give a WO.

Oh, another thing. Simon did not technically beat LD, but LD's injury is probably a direct consequence of playing hard against Simon in the first set. Imagine if Simon lost say...21-12. Probably LD won't be injured, right? So give Simon some credit ;)

nawwwww. for HK2006, nobody says, "LD beat TH, 4-1". that would be absurd if they did.

everybody say, "TH walked off". because technically LD didn't beat TH, they didn't finish the game.
SO2007 should be the same case
