I'm still curious as to how much MORE power the AT 900P has than the T. Anyone have an opinion? I know that it's a trade off of power for control/maneuverability and such. Just still a lingering question, that has yet to be truly answered.
If you scroll down to the bottom of the page it says "DISCOUNT: 15% off all rackets, except on special offers," which would make it £127.50 (unless there was a special offer on). This is a bit closer to the street price I was expecting.
Just sent Gefen Sports an email to ask them about price. This was the prompt reply: Dear John Thank you for your mail. I can probably match any other price on the internet. I sell only original Yonex rackets. I don’t have them in stock yet. They will probably be here in a week or two.
I played with it for about 3 weeks? I never really had problems but then again I was never up to my old power. Coming from a AT700 4U the more logical choice should've been an AT900 P 4U but I do play doubles a lot more and I had a really good experience with AT800DE and its sweet control and maneuverability, I hoped I could adapt this racquet to my game but it is not looking good. It bugs me a little, even though this is a upgrade of the former DEFENSE racquet, for a 3U version it seems ridiculous that it's lighter than an AT500 4U. I really think this racquet could use a little more heft, after all, some of the best defenders in the world use extremely heavy racquets.
Is it really that light? The specs say that it's suppose to be somewhat head heavy. Does it even come close to matching the power of the 700? Or can you really generate decent power from it? I don't know why you got two. Seems kind of expensive.
Here in germany i know a dealer, which sells original Armortec 900 for ~150€ which is ~ 100 GBP only. The racket is available in 3U and 4U and has a GR next to the serial number (GR for germany)
tried the at900 power. what i can say is that it give a lot of power, reminds me of at800of, but then doesnt feel as hollow. the key here is that this racket gives a lot of repulsion. something like the cab20muscle. and the thing about repulsion is that it will be harder to control the finer touch shots... so i dont think many singles player will like this. at700 gives more feel and still very good power. this 900power gives a hell lot more power but then lacks on the feel department
Does anyone know the reason why the release date of SP version is so much earlier than other versions?
Depends on your definition of light. Coming from AT500 4U, MP100 3U, AT700 4U, they make the AT900T feel too light to generate a huge penetrating smash.
On sale in the UK! Just to let you know that the AT 900 is now for sale in the UK, at Millet Sports. On their website for £110
i don't know if this was already posted but badmintonalley in sunnyvale, calif already have them. check out badmintonalley.com
Yea, it's been posted several times before, lol. Most people ignore it, for the reason that they only carry 4U, and the 3U is more popular.
I get my AT900T on monday or tuesday, can't wait. (Norway). It's not available here, but you can get it through Denmark.
used both at900's today and all the other new range at a demo day. the technique one has a very quick 'pick up' and allows good defence and return of smashes ant net play is also good. me personally i prefer the power. there is so much power generated on smashing. i used the 4u one and you can definately feel the head heaviness. clears were coming of with ease and the smashes were amazing. they were both strung with Nanogy 95. minesh
