During AE, the camera zoom in on CY's ankles. According to Gillian Clark, the right ankle was strapped - it was probably a minor problem but given that CHN is already assured of a gold medal in GO, it would be silly for CY to aggravate it further by playing. As for LD, according to report, the tournament doctor confirmed LD's injury. This is the 1st time I read of LD not completing a match - correct me if I am wrong. I really hope people will give some of the players & coaches the benefit of the doubt.
I am sure LD is injured coz I did watch the semifinal against Simon Santoso. LD did "fly" a lot, so I am not surprised if he did injured himself at that time.

Being the coach, he has every right to kick anyone out of the national team, if he thinks he/she is not performing or whatever he/she is doing may affect his/her or even others' performance. He told LD "I am opposed to that. But you gotta help her. You are technically better than her and you should spend more time to help her improve. If you train her during lunch time, I'll even buy lunch for two of you..." With this assurance/authorization from the coach ... LD did it and now both of them are champions.

well, to be frank, i reli believe he got the skill.. hv no doubt abt it.. it is just that he has problem to cope with the pressure during the matches.. for a player, tis is the key to win. if he can control it well, then with the skill he has, sure there isnt big prob for him to win..so he has to put more effort in tis part..
