They all look giddy... ..thanks for sharing the pics, sfr fans...i assume they are recent pics??..the middle pic, above, really shows they were having a blast, even the rarely-smiling Hendra Setiawan finally showed his teeth..hehe Now, anyone out there wants to take a stab at guessing who the players or people are??..hehe
Me first? Eh??? From left to right: Standing up: Taufik Hidayat, Flandy Limpele, Maria Kristin?, Endang Nur Surgianti, Lita Nurlita, Fransiska Ratnasari, Greysia Polii, Jo Novita?, Adriyanti Firdasari, Pia Zebadiah, Lilyana Natsir, Nova Widianto, Sony Dwi Kuncuro, Markis Kido, Tommy Sugiarto?, Forgot #1, Hendra Setiawan, Joko Riyadi, Forgot #2 Sitting down: Rani Mundiasti, Forgot #3, Christian Hadinata, Forgot #4, Forgot #5, Luluk Hadiyanto, Alvent Yulianto Chandra, Hendra Aprida Gunawan
Whoah... ..you're nailing them down, yannie..esp. all the gals!! Hmm, on some of them, it's kind of hard. Alvent doesn't really look the same. Forgot #1 could be Muhammad Rizal. Forgot #2(the guy standing on the far could be the restaurant's or place's owner?? ) Forgot #3, i believe is one of the coach who also attended 2005 Chinese Taipei Open(his pic is there). The 2 big "honchos" in the middle could be PBSI's management personnels, either one could be Lutfi Hamid(PBSI's Sudirman Cup's manager)..Btw, where's Lius Pongoh??..
I'm sure it's Alvent. Ohhh.. Maybe the "Tommy Sugiarto" could be Rizal too? Not sure.. Huhuhu.. Hahahahahahaha yeah, dunno the rest. Could be anyone.
Forgot #1 is M. Rijal Forgot #2 is an official, who cares! Forgot #3 is another official, who cares! Forgot #4 is yet another official, who cares! Forgot #5 is Pak Lutfi, SGS club owner, boss of Taufik and head of the Sudirman Cup team... He is a commisioner of PLN, the national electricity company. I should care about him ...other wise, my house might not get any electricity...
I think she is Lydia Djaelawijaya... but she did not win the 2001 Indonesian Open, that would be Ellen Angelina. Lydia won the 1999 Indonesian Open... Forgot who she beat. Could be Wang Chen...
Current PBSI officials [in general] are not competent people... :crying: They are a big reason why Indonesian badminton is in its stage today... :crying: In the past, Mr. **** Sudirman [yes, of 'Sudirman' Cup] had no money but the Indonesian badminton world was exciting. Mr. Sudirman had passion for the game! Mr. Ferry Sonneville was a weak man but we had good players, so we survived... Then came Mr. Tri Sutrisno, he brought financial muscle to the sport since he was a top general and later on Vice President to Soeharto. That was the beginning of a golden age... Mr. Suryadi and Mr. Bagio reaped the benefits of Mr. Tri's work. Then... :crying: :crying: :crying: problems accumulate... and that's where we are now... Yet... we shall be back! I see many many tournaments are held in so many provinces. Every one attracted at least 1000 local kids. The 'Taufik' factor is encouraging more kids to take up badminton. In 10 years we will be back! Actually, the Surabaya Cup is being played as we speak, Yannie. Your friend Rian Sukmawan is playing with Ade Lukas, representing PB Djarum. They are seeded 1. They have won the 2006 Surabaya Satellite together. I would be surprised if anyone can beat them in this tournament. After Surabaya, Rian and Eng Hian will compete in Singapore next wednesday...
Ahhh.. Just checked.. Santoso Sugiharjo/Ade Lukas, INA came for Denmark Open and Copenhagen Masters 1999 7½ years ago..
Here's one... Got it from www.pbdjarum.com ... They are surely Juniors... I only know Cisita Jansen because she was the reality TV SMASH winner. Cisita was formerly a student of Susi Susanti... she then transferred to Alan's [Susi's husband] club [Djarum]... Here's Cisita and Jones Jansen, the siblings are possible future stars of Indonesia... Just 16 and 15... Jones Jansen won three Under-16 MD Circuits so far... Cisita have gone to semifinals of many tournaments but have not won any Under-19 Circuits so far... well, everyone else is 17 and 18... so maybe next year...
This picture is from the Sinar Mutiara Central Java Circuit.... From left to right: Cisita Jansen [semifinalist Under 19 WS], Jenna Gozali [winner Under 19 WS], Rosaria Yusfin Pungkasari [winner adult WS], Rhany Sanusi [runner up adult WS]
