woahh.. i see this thread coming alive again!!

Boonsak has just won the Singapore Open and thats a huge achievement. All Boonsak's supporters must have jumped out of their seats when he clinched the last point, because thats what i did, eventhough i couldn't watch it on tv. Had to rely on live scoring.. which was so sad...

    anyway, BOONSAK JIA YOU!!

Congratulations to Boonsak and Thailand for the wonderful results in SO.

For a non badminton superpower, Thailand have done well in having two representatives in the SO finals yesterday i.e. men's singles and mixed doubles.

How come Malaysia, despite having full governement backing and excellent facilities we are unable to be up there competing with the best??? Something is really wrong with the way we develop badminton in Msia.

are there any politics in Thailand badminton?? are there any thai players sueing the badminton organization? how much does the thai government reward boonsak for winning the singapore open title? this hold the answer to the difference between malaysia and thailand. good for boonsak. great work!

lets not get into politics of badminton players and their badminton association lest this becomes one of the other threads that got carried away. congratulations boonsak for winning SO. i did not get the chance to see him play but knowing he beat lin dan shows that he is one of the top player now. all the best to him. i was just watching his match with taufik during the olympic semi finals. he was so frustrated then. taufik played him like a big brother teaching a younger brother a lesson. but now he is all grown up i guess. taufik better be careful. he he he.

boonsak looks good currently. he must improve if he want to win consistenly. he beat Lin Dan in deuce and he might not be that lucky next time. the best thing for him to train harder and harder so that he can beat Lin Dan in straight sets in the future.

i think he's doing very well considering he's sitting his Law finals!
I suspect you can see how good he really is in the next few years after that.

There's no big deal if he takes long time to grad. He's got to play badminton and study at the same time.
And OMG!! Boonsak study Law?? Not an easy one, really...I salute him!! Such a big contradiction for a sportsman to study Law..cool

yes, this Boonsak is a great guy. he cope very well between his studies and badminton career. he wanted a more secure future so he studied at the same time. no one can match his ability to play world class badminton but study at the same time. he will realise his true potential after training full time.

Looks like beating the World No. 1 seems to be the benchmark. Anyhow, even if Boonsak doesn't do that as often as he would like, if he plays consistently well and win more tournaments, he certainly will be a player to be reckoned with. Getting to the top without any expectations is easier but staying there is another story. Great effort BP.
