After reading all the above postings, I concluded that if China were to win anything less then 5 titles in this IO'07, it will be considered a FAILURE. One title (WD) is already in the bag and they have 4 others to contest with.

Let's see what happens tomorrow! All the best to the finalists, especially LCW & Fairuz/Zakry, give your best and make us all proud. MAS BOLEH! ;p

No worries hcyong, 1.30pm is INA time, 1-hour time difference to M'sia. Probably the WD would have finished the 1st game or in the middle of the 2nd game. You won't miss LCW vs BCL's game... ;) :p :)

Eh, how come no one predicted for the victory of Nova/Lilyana?

Maybe they are not in top form, but I think they have showed great determination in today's match against the korean pair.

And if I'm not wrong, they are currently ranked the 1st in the world so they must've had something special.

Hehe btw, I'm a total noob in badminton so maybe my arguments are very vague ..

Ya vching, I've just checked. Matches starts at 12.30 INA time (1.30 M'sia time). Seems like we might even the telecast of LCW vs BCL's match, scheduled right after the WD. But I have a feeling RTM1 will re-schedule and start at 2pm instead of 3pm. What's the point of LIVE telecast when they can't show that MS match esp. when one of the competitors in the final is from MAS!

... and those take place in IO, historically one of the most difficult tournaments to win in the world (for non-Indonesians). Well, foreign players have all been taking the advantage on the decline of badminton quality in INA.

Hehehe... my opinion why there isn't much comments made on Nova/Lilyana... it's because they are up against GAO LING. And, she is a favourite among all the forummers here. :D :p :D :D :D

Looking at the empty seats from the tv screen, where are the supports? Especially when their very own beloved badminton idols TH and CW/TG, playing their respective matches in front of their home crowd. This scenario garnered an insight of the deteriorating ailing situation of the once No. 1 badminton nation in the world today.

    It's sad, so sad. :(

Yep . . Indonesia is in a very depressed mood lately

perhaps you have learned from the media, or perhaps you haven't, that there are strings of endless problem that struck our beloved country ranging from natural disasters, rampant corruption among the country's leaders, stagnant economy, rising fuel price, added with the messy political condition . .

We just can not pay attention on badminton matches anymore when there are so many things that need immediate attention.:crying:

there will be a time when we can cheer our lungs out for our country during badminton matches, but it will certainly take a long time. right now, most of the people here are more concerned on how to feed their family.

Maybe Indonesia will not regain it's greatness and even if she does, it will not happen anytime soon.
