Excellent performance by LCW, doesn't matter if LD and CY were not in attendance. He's back at his best. Excellent motivation from Misbun to bring back LCW's belief in himself.

Creditable performance from Zakry/Fairuz. Almost stole the 2nd game from under the noses of Cai/Fu. Indeed, their tactics are much better than Koo/Tan yesterday, only experience and some misses (smashes going out) was the difference. We now have a few (some might say, too many) top level pairs of comparable performance.

Rexy and his team of coaches deserve a contract extension with better terms.

Wang Chen, came back from the dead in 1st game to kill off Zhu Lin. Just goes to show that the CHN WS back up team is still not ready to take the mantle from Zhang Ning and Xie Xingfang.

Midget sized Du/Yu created a minor upset against the more experienced Zhao/Yang. But they are really fast and fit players, next World Champion pedigree, perhaps.

It looks likely that Nova/Lilyana are losing the XD final, so overall, the underdogs have beaten the favourites 3-2 via LCW, WC and DJ/YY.

Yet another disappointing performance by Nova Widianto/Lilyana Natsir as they crumbled badly, esp in the second set. It's the same old story...Nova was totally inept today with his countless unforced errors. Butet definitely needs a better partner than Nova.

ZB/GL's 6 international titles since the last AG. Definitely more consistent than KKK/TBH, and even LD and CY/FHF.

Do you know why LD withdrew? Did you watch him play in AOS07 last week? LD needs the crowd behind him to win.He couldn't accept the fact that the crowd would support his lesser opponents (he also has support) and that affects his confidence. When LD's confidence is shaken, he lose to class 3 players TAMELY, straight,eg RS and PSH. After he got shaken up by Boonsak, his confidence would be such that if he were to lose to unknowns in IO07, it would be so shredded he would have a fear of the rectangle shape and won't be able to win in badminton . LYB did not want to risk that because he knows that if LD cannot take the AOS crowd, how can he take the IO crowd?
LCW played well because maybe this time, Misbun got the prematch strategies right. And he got his No. 1 speed back.Boonsak's wins over LD and CY must have inspired him because Boonsak showed it was not difficult to defeat them. Just play simple, focussed badminton, not rally like mad.
But aren't you the chap who claimed that LCW called you and chatted with you like you are his fan (or friend?) For a fan or friend who loudly declared that his well-earned victory is not credible, you come across like a skunk.
I hope someone who knows LCW (ants?) take the trouble to alert LCW so that he never talks to him again. You stink! Whether as a fan or friend.

You know what, in XD only ZB/GL is consistent, other pairs have significant ups and downs ...... :D

Next one up on the consistency sheet would be TG/CW in men's doubles, one final and 5 semifinals.

I did the calculation yesterday but only posted the top-12 rankings (notable change: Taufik will drop to the 12th spot) without the ranking points. Anyway, the gap between LCW and CH/CJ is pretty close and he could easily catch up the duo by the end of Sudirman Cup if he performs well (considering that CH will definitely not represent Chn in the tournament while CJ will be 2nd single, i.e., probably less matches ... unless Chn decides to rest LD and make CJ the 1st single).
