i beleive kwun emmigrated/immigrated... the shuttles he took with him on his way over however, very well migrated.
Off topic-Yes.. ..he is from HK. At least that's where he started his love for badminton. See & read a few of these threads, abt kwun, below: http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12666 http://www.badmintoncentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24459&page=15 (some pics onwards or feel free to read the whole thread) http://profiles.friendster.com/30298024 (or you can say 'Hi' to him @ his friendster acct.) And he's planning to visit his hometown again, sometimes next month..
Just got myself a Carlton Nanopower 9900 yesterday..can't wait to try it out over the weekend at the club...
Tried out the Fireblade Elite Iso a few days ago. But eventually I just tested it for a few minutes because we'd got some new people playing doubles, I just did not want to have accidents. All I can say is that the racket feels solid and pretty powerful even with the stock string. Control is better than my Powerblade Lite. I have not played any real netshots, so can't tell whether it is any good or bad neither.
can anyone confirm the length of the 9900 and 9500? One site said 675 but I thought I saw another that said 665.
So.. ..any news to update us, kwun??..i hope those Carltons haven't been sitting too long in your badminton bag....or you've forgotten abt this thread..hehe
Bought a 9902 recently and tried it out last night. It is a very good racket with tremendous power if you hit the shuttle right. Defense from this racket is very good perhaps due to it's slimmer shaft. Played for close to 3 hours using this racket and am really impressed with its versatility for offense to defense. Even with off center hits, it can still drive the shuttle way back the baseline. Takes a little getting used in the first few games though. A bit similar to the woven 7 in terms of power. Will not recommend this for beginners though. But for those who likes power rackets, you wont be disappointed with this one.
Kwun, I would like to see your review on these. I started off on Carlton after using my parents Slazenger and Grays (wood with metal heads). My frst racquet was the latest Carlton Aluminum frame, then came the Morton Frost specials and Powerflow racquet's. I changed from Carlton after finding out other racquet's were more flexible. I switched to Epsilon in the 90's, then Yang Yang and finally Yonex. Regards Stuart
