once i was going for a mid court shot down the middle of the court. the shuttle was just slightly above and behind my partner's head. i took a huge swing and i missed the shutte and got my partner right on the head. hope it didnt hurt that much. this was like 5+ years ago
opponent cleared the ball, it was out and i didnt realize it. i was like two huge steps outside the court lol, i was like wtf?! what am i doing out here, and i hit the ball too with a dropshot >.>
not 10 rallys over 2 minutes lah....i was saying that more than 10 times my friend drop a drop shot and drop at the upper net and the shuttle drop at my court.... in that match....
I was playing doubles without keeping the score, and I accidentally smashed too high and hit the opponent's head. Then that person got a little bit mad, and did a high serve, and my partner smashed him in the nuts.. so he then decided to serve to me, and I smashed him in the nuts again. That person's defence was very poor lol.
It did actually happen, and everyone was laughing at him, even his father. I feel sorry for him though.
An incident like that only happened once, so it might have just been his bad day. Ohh and we're even more dangerous with a slippery grip.
i forget what shot we were defending, but I saw the opponent come to net and thought he was going to do a net shot. So i moved forward, but the guy did a lift, so i moved back as fast as i could to the back court, stop my backward momentum, and do a clear. but for wutever reason, i couldn't stop backward momentum enough and tripped myself and lost a shoe. lol
losing 15-1 and 15 -5 today... excuse: none even though i wanna say some... but what' the use... i don't lose this bad even when i play in regional...
Here's another 'wtf' moment, which happened just last night. I was practising with my friend, and he did a disceptive shot ( Peter Gade's so called "Trade Mark-shot" ) at me. Here's Peter Gade doing it to Shoji Sato from Japan: I lunged forward anticipating a netdrop, then I suddenly realised that the shuttle was far behind me, making me do a back-hand clear which I'm not really good at. He did that to me about 5 times, and everybody was laughing, including myself. Then as I was anticipating the same shot again, I went back and then he did a netdrop and I tripped over. Very embarassing!! :S
My WTF moment: I was running to the back to get a clear, when I recognized that the ball will go out. So I don´t wanted to hit the ball a stand there waiting and then the shuttle lands excatly at the top of my right shoe...
Lol, this is mine: I was on the last court in the gym and on the side facing the basketball net. I smashed and half-way through the movement my racquet flies out of my hand and lands/gets stuck in the basketball net. WTF?
Not sure if this is really a WTF moment... I was playing in a tournament, in a white gym, with white ceilings, white walls, white floors, and pale yellow lines. And we played with feather birds, which are obviously white. As we were playing mixed, I was at the back, and my partner played a net shot that forced them to lift. Unfortunately I lost sight of the bird. As I am spinning around the court, and eventually facing backward, I yelled out "WHERE IS IT...", really loudly - it was semis or quarters... My partner then yelled "its out" Quite embarrassing from my point of view.
sure sounds like a tournament in heaven i wonder if the players too were white? and perhaps, they were all wearing white shorts, white socks, white tops and white shoes and using white racquets (Wilson) with white strings? that would be quite a white sight
played against this lady once... it was only a friendly game within clubs... she lost the game and her head followed... completely.. she is known for her temper but heck.. in my case she was so.. uhmm well.. out of it... took off her shirt and scream the **** out.. not the prettiest view seeing dried prune T_T
