I am probably getting a new racket for doubles and i was wondering what would be a good racket, am a wrist player, but i do a lot of smashes but i want a more defensive racket. I play quite serious, at least as serious as a fourteen year old can get. I have lots of money (ie. job). So any help would be appreciated . O and also i was wondering it i should just wait for 2008 and just get a racket then.

Yonex At900T sounds good to you.
however, the idea to wait until 1st quarter of 2008 is possible if you can wait....:)

Agree with drifit, since you mentioned that price is not a problem, AT900-T is great in both defense and offense.

If you can wait, wait till 1st quarter of 2008 and see if there's any discounts.

Yep, I'm seeing discounts for some models here in Singapore already, i.e.:

    AT900-P
    AT900-T
    AT150
    MP99
    MP44
    MP33 SP
    MP25
    MP21
    NS7000
    NS9000

Even Arcsaber7 comes with bundle package at good price. Free 3 rackets bag + Yonex Towel + Water Bottle + Sports socks. ;)

    Hi squallyeo & Caryne Au,

Currently some shops in Queensway shopping centre is selling rackets at low price as well as a sports chain called "SPORTSLINK".

I bought my AT150 at SPORTSLINK for SGD99.50 and comes with a standard 3 racket carrying bag. If I remember correctly AT900-P/T is selling at SGD359 +/- with 3 racket carrying bag at Sportslink as well. You can check out at the Woodlands branch, located in Causeway Point Shopping Mall 3rd floor. This shopping mall is near to Johor, so you only have to take a bus from the Interchange at Singapore Woodlands Custom to the Interchange at Woodlands MRT station. Go up the escalater from the Interchange and you'll see Causeway Shopping Mall.

For my Ashaway AeroT900SQ, I got it from "SportsInterLink" in Queensway Shopping Centre, Level 1 at the price of SGD139.90. About 90% of Ashaway rackets in this shop is selling at SGD59.90 ~ 89.90, it can go above this price for higher end range like mine. This shop has similar discounts likewise SPORTSLINK, probably affliated sports chain. To reach this place, I recommend you to spend about SGD15 to hitch a cab over, as it is pretty complicated to explain the travelling directions in words, if you are not familiar with Singapore roadmap.

Hope this helps you guys as my data is like 1 month ago ;) .

    I can't believe nobody has said this already , ARMORTEC 800def !
They aren't the dearest rackets but from what you described this seems the best racket for you.

For Doubles : only this two choice.

Well, my opinion is get the new ti-10. WHY ?

    1. The new ti-10 is 30% cheaper than the AT-900T. You probably can get another ti-10 if you top-up some $$$ (another 30%) from the selling price of the At-900T.

    2. So far, I found out the new ti-10 is a good defensive racquet without sacrifying smashinig power. (is true)

    3. The At-900t has longer handle and shorter shaft compare to Ti-10 which come with shorter handle and longer shaft. (I prefer longer shaft compare to shorter shaft)

    4. You can feel the new ti-10 is Head Heavy but it is not that abvious compare to At-900T.

I'm currently own 2 new ti-10 strung with BG-65 at 27Ibs and keeping 1 old ti-10. I would say the new ti-10 is currently the best racquet for double (refer to current 21 points play style)

    Hope this will help.

Ti-10 not widely available in other countries.
SEA countries are a bit more lucky with this extra choice........:)

What is the best price (RM) on KL/Selangor I can get include string BG66 without bag, grip etc? I go to Pertama mostly the price RM435 with string and bag I think...but my fren told me it s only RM 350. Then I go to Bangi, the tauke offer me RM 379 without string. Can I get more lower at the another shop?
