Already watch the IBBS video, i'm already practicing his knowledge on defending smashes, it helps me but got problems to lift it back to opponents backcourt. When the opponent is in attack position front back, when they smash the only thing i can do was block it and I'm trying to push it back to their backcourt, but the farthest that i can do was in their mid court. Any suggestions on how to improve my defense on smashing so i could lift it back to their backcourt to avoid the front attacking opponent?
use your fingers and wrists more. i believe there's vids on IBBS that teaches smash defence anwyay just watched the Right Attitude. Kinda feeling guilty about doing round the backs purely for acting cool when playing lower level players
I dont think the videos of the website will cost anything for a membership since, all the free videos he has now covers 95ish% (or more) of badminton. Everyone that knows about it prolly has already watched the videos that they want to improve on, only the people that havent watched the videos are going to pay. Also, I dont think he can add any extra videos since (I would say) all you needed to know about badminton is already there, so if he didnt charge money at the begining I dont think he will charge later in the future.
Don't believe that all the videos will remain free. There are still plenty of new topics that he can address. With that said, as of today, the current videos are all still free (even tho the June 30th cutoff has passed).
im using IE 7 and this is what it gives me Sorry! Browser not supported. Please use Internet Explorer 5.0 or Greater
Not true. Lee has big plans for IBBS. He is developing a new website and wants to add many more videos. I'm looking forward to seeing what he comes up with
Are you absolutely certain that you were actually using IE-7 at the time you saw this message? It is not enough to have IE-7 on your PC -- you need to launch the IE application and then launch the video from an IE window (or an IE tab). Someone else here reported the very same problem but it turned out that their default browser was Firefox and they did not really have the IE application opened at all when they saw the message.
Site Under Essential Maintenance We are undergoing essential upgrade and Maintenance. The New website will be back by 1st December 2007! WHY DOES THIS TAKE SOOOOOOOOOO LONG?
Tomorrow is the day... 1st December 2007... But I bet 100 Dollars, that ibbs.tv will not reopen this year! :-((
Site Under Essential Maintenance We are very sorry that we could not open this web site in time as we stated. Please accept our sincere apology for those who have been waiting for a long time. We will do our very best to open it before 1st March LOL So another 3 month... Is this a joke?!? I still have 8 Pounds in my account there...
I think Lee may be struggling to complete his plans for IBBS. I hope he does get it started again; he certainly seemed very enthusiastic about it a few months ago, but I haven't heard from him since. It seems pretty harsh that customers should not get their money refunded; I think that should have been his first action before closing the site. Yet I sympathise. These projects have a way of taking much longer than you expect. Take my grips guide: I haven't updated it for over three years. It's not easy.
He easily could have added one or 2 new videos to the old site and let the old site stay online until the new site is finished... He wants our money (and has mine already) and then he is not able to get the new site to works for half a year?!?
xt6666, I would like to take that bet do you want to bet? Guys I think the new website is not far away. It will be launched soon! I could tell you that because I'm back!!! (some badminton central members will understand that).
I think you where the webmaster of the old site right? I talked to Lee some days ago and he seemed very frustrated... When I read on the website that they try to open the site before March 1st 2008... Should I bet... hm... 1 Dollar?
I dont think it will take that long. It will be launched soon! I can't go into any detail of what has happened in the past, the delays, frustrations etc What I can say though is the new website will have very exciting videos. It will help improve badminton skills to the next level. I Love badminton! and really looking forward to this new website videos. We don't have to wait long for the website now.
That's great, and I hope the SUPPORT will be much better and faster then before... The videos will be fantastic that's for sure! Now I have to visit the website 100 times every day and look of it's launched already )
