Basically I only look at where the guy on the other side is standing, then stare back at the shuttle when I serve. I don't look at where I serve.

If you know how to serve and have a lot of experience then you can look wherever you want and serve to a different spot. I sometimes look back at my partner or stare at my opponent in the eyes and serve which catches the opponent by surprise.

First, i fake a destination by looking the "destination" for the shuttle to make the opponent think I'll send it there and in what way, and instead of doing what my adversary expected me to do, i surprise him with something different. Basic example:fake a drop serve, and send the shuttle way to the back. Also add body position to the faking, like leaning a bit more forward or backward, depending on the situation.

I look down at the birdie..since it's tricky. My opponents won't know where i would serve the bird to.

    I mix them up really...
look at the place where I ain't gonna serve
look at the place where I'm gonna serve
look at the birdie...and time my serve...goes from 1-4sec (I find this most effective)

Though most of the time these won't work against strong players...

I look to the baseline. Then serve it to the short service line.

hmm this is simple for me...
    1) i look at my opponent
    2) i look at my feet
    3) i look at my birdie and where it makes contact with my racket
    4) right after i make contact with the birdie i look back up to see my opponentz movements
(while doing all this, keep in mind to look at ur opponent's movements at the corner of ur eye)

I look at the bird first, then at my opponent immediately after contact.

1stly you aim at where you wanna hit!!
then you look away!!! they will think you hit somewhere else :p
i always fake my opponents :p
