I currently use a Woven-8 and I just love how it plays. I was wondering which of the D-series plays like the W-8? On paper, the D-300 specs are pretty close.
well, if the w300 feels liek the d6/900 it'll play a bit different. the D's don't feel as rock-solid as the wovens. but it's kinda pleasant to hit with, Maybe, i'll play with the D6/9 and Jedi-077...who knows what'll happen BTW, the devil really is in the details...and sotx did it brilliantly: the ribbed grip on both of them is held together by a sewing-string: the D600's is silver coloured string, the d900 is golden-coloured..looks really nice. also nice: the Sotx logo on the Jedi-077 stands out a bit (3D)
I was wondering how does the woven 13 and d900 compare in terms of feel, control, power and manuverablity. By most of the post I've read they seem quite similar
Correct me if I'm wrong, both the LG and Jedi series seems to be produced from the same racket mould?
well, they're. difference: the w13 is extra stiff, while teh D900 only slightly stiff..they're both well-balanced allround rackets with a good feel to it. i'd say the w13 is more powerfull though (~2grams weight and stiffer)
I know this is an old thread but i dont want to make a new one since the subject is also about a D Fighter. Can someone give a review about the D800?
Hi all, I'm from malaysia. Where can i get SOTX D500 or Woven 8A here in Malaysia. If there is none, is there singapore agents whos sells online ? Appreciate your input.
I know the thread is old, but want to share about the D-600 First I wrote that: After the first session, I hated it -- lots of mishits and it was hard to control, my shoulder hurts... But the second day I decided to change the grip: removed the original grip, wrapped some electr. tape around the wood and then -- two layers of Head Ultrasoft very thin overgrip. And the racket felt headheavier! In the evening I think I enjoyed the racket -- less mishits, better defence... And -- something very important -- NOW I SMASH!!! I feel a lot more powerfull now and my opponents feel the Fear Something about the frame -- it is box, not aero, but it is thin -- actually thinner than the frame of most Yonex NS series. My defence is better because I reach more and when I know that I reach more, I run more... But when smashed in the body my defence lacks... About BS-963 -- only for two sessions the tension dropped more than one lbs (eather that or the racket has become flexier). There is power in that string, yes So, that's it -- I like my deadly tool -- like it a lot! PS: My shoulder hurts still...

For the D600: Is the D600 one of those rackets whose stiffness is difficult to use for a large majority of the people? Or is it very easy to pick up and use the power (eg. the AT900P). The stiffness is the only thing holding me back from buying one, coming from an NS7K, I don't want to feel a huge difference, as I'm a junior player and generating a huge swing speed with immaculate technique to make use of stiffness is most of the time not an option for me. Thanks.
The stiffness is not great -- I mean the D-600 is less stiff than AT700 and slightly stiffer than NS7000. D-600 is 5mm longer than both AT700 and NS7K... And D-600 is headheavy -- but less than AT700... You will know if it is for you after playing 2-3 sessions with it... And my initial problems with D-600 were caused by the string tension in the first session, which dropped after that... If you have doubts about the stiffness, buy D-800 which is less stiff. @Swingbadabada: Purple FTW
Thanks a lot for your response. So would you say its relatively forgiving and easier to use compared to (AT900P, AT700, Woven 7, Ti10, Most of the NS series), etc?
I've played with NS7K only and tried AT700 for two games. Didnt like the AT700 -- the tension was too high for me anyway, so I cant say much about it... The NS7K (headlight) is great racket (despite being too fragile) -- Yes, It is more forgiving, I swing faster with it, than with the D-600, but again I wanted a headheavy racket to smash harder and make my opponents drop their pants...
Haha thanks. I guess as long as I don't have an off day, the D600 should be fine for me despite my mishits
