He actually made Jan O Jorgensen gave up So, DEN probably wants to save Jan from being too exposed to potential opponents (eg: KOR or INA)? Even DEN still can have a little trick up its sleeves once they know the match was over.
let's dream you make more sense tomorrow ... indonesia sucks, go malaysia. malaysia goes home after qf, nigeria for the win, japan sucks, england for the cup ... jibberish havin' a sunstroke already have ya
hmm...who is this snasirin??? anyone know about her/him??? i am new...so know nothing about this people...
Anyone know what happened to the China-Germany Uber cup match. Wei/Zhang beat Piotrowski/Michaela Peiffer 21-0 21-0 and Bott/Schnasse beat Gao/Zhao 21-0 21-0 from tournamentsoftware. The chance of Bott/Schnasse beating Gao/Zhao 21-0 21-0 is probably less than the chance I will win the super lotto. It may be been discussed in this thread but there are 78 pages to go through.
Qidong, from what I see, WD2 didnt play at all. China just gave up the match. You can see no duration of match. WD1 played for 11 minutes, I think only 1st game, then Germany gave up the match since China already won.
I heard that both 0,0 matches are walk-over s. Just read that at the start of the 4th match (1st WD), the lamp fell. So the two matches (1st WD, 2nd WD) cannot be played.
Potential QF line-ups: CHN vs THA* - A free pass to SF for the defending champion MAS vs JPN* - A tough match for MAS KOR* vs DEN - This is the most anticipated QF match as KOR managed to have chosen its QF opponent. INA vs ENG* - Another free pass to SF for the host Playoffs: * ENG vs NGR * THA vs NZL * JPN vs GER * KOR vs CAN
China has obvious advantage. But "free pass" is exaggerating. Thailand can put hope in BP, their MDs (in particular 2nd MD) and this new guy who beat TH (this guy must play 3rd MS as he did when facing Germany as I don't think he has any chance beating BCL ) -- if this guy is young, fast/agile and powerful, then bingo! He has chance to beat CJ ("Underdogs" that beat CJ: Kendrick Lee is young and powerful, the MAS youngster is young and fast). Also don't forget that BP, who beat CJ easily twice in 2007, can share his knowledge on how to beat CJ.
What a (2nd) day of qualifying round.. ..yep, just went through the rest of the 78 pages of this thread (was knocked out last night).....And yay, the BC server actually held up!! ..a few reasons why a trip to INA to watch this TC & UC was not something i personally look fw to. Add to that do they even have the tournament's official logo, like 2 yrs ago?? Anyway, wishing you guys, going to INA, a wonderful time and be able to get your tix, nonetheless!. As for fixing the internet connection at the Senayan hall, too bad our Hau-ge is not a hardware technician... ..that's quite dangerous you know. Players could've been injured if larger shards of objects were to fall. Thankfully no one was hurt and the glass didn't fall to the spectators' area. .......maybe that's the reason why Hui Lin picked up badminton again.. ..uhm, if not mistaken, the Dutch's UC squad was the runners-up, 2 yrs ago, in JPN, losing to CHN. ...i guess they prefer to play an extra tie (playoff), rather than to rest, win their QF tie and face CHN (or INA). ..not necessarily. The home crowd, from now on, might cheer for teams playing against KOR. If Korea should advance to the QF round, which i believe they should, the crowd might cheer on the Danes to pull through to play INA in the Semis. It should be interesting to see which team(s) the home crowd will give its support to, if DEN meets KOR in the QF. ..yeah, interesting thought. Now, the Koreans have to play an extra tie before moving on to the QF round. I guess the Koreans will be relying on their ginseng, eh??...
smart tactic for korean. to avoid CHN they need to move to the other side of the draw. they wont play CHN till the final. INA & DEN still same level with them
