This could be a quiet night/day in BC..

..i hope both ties go the distance, because most of us will probably be following the ties on CCTV5. Btw, this thread is ONLY for today's UC's Semifinals round, correct??..

I think most people are in agreement that it will be a CHN v INA final.

For me, CHN should win 3-0 or 3-1 (depends if KOR splits up Lee/Lee). The worst thing that could have happened to KOR was CHN's close shave with NED yesterday. That wake up call will ensure CHN is on full alert and not be complacent against KOR. Naturally, KOR is also weakened by the absence of JJY :crying::crying:.

INA and GER will probably play to the death. Xu and Juliane will win WS for Ger. INA will win both WD. Fortunately for INA, they have a stronger WS3/. So
    it will be INA 3-2.

Surprises do happen. I think Firdasari can beat Schenk in 3 games for a 3-1 INA victory..we'll see.

[FONT=verdana,arial,helvetica,sans-serif]For this possible line up, it could go like this

    1.WS: Xu Huaiwen - Maria Kristin 1-0
    2.WS: Juliane Schenk - Adriyanti Firdasari 2-0
    3.WS: Karin Schnase - Pia Zebadiah 1-2
1.WD: Juliane Schenk & Kathrin Piotrowski - Lilyana Natsir & Vita Marissa 2-2
2.WD: Birgit Overzier & Xu Huaiwen - Jo Novita & Greysia Polii. 2-3

    BUT:

Karin Schnaase is actually pretty good, maybe better than Pia,
but Karin has have a bad injury not so long time ago, and she dont have so much international experience.

And because in the german liga the teams are quite small, Xu Huaiwen and Juliane Schenk are actually used to play WD a lot, of course they will be not so fresh for wd after playing singles.

I think the 2.WD will be not a very easy point for INA :p

Carolla Bott ever beat Pia Zebadiah 3 sets in German Open 2006, but play in home ground Pia can revenge her lost.

So, we depend on Firda n Pia. Hope Firda can bring hope to us. I think she has a change to win over Schenk.

This morning, read the news that UC INA ready to change the line up to anticipate Xu and Schenk play in 2 first matches.

I see only Pia who can play Single & Double and too risky to change the WDs. INA's team should be prepare Maria & Firda better rather than change the WDs.

Or they will try to put one WD player to play in WS3, it's risky too

Are u serious Sandy? What will they change? I think that is the best formation we have. Our WDs are better than Germany, even if Xu play in WD also, so what they should do is to prepare Maria, Firda, n Pia. Oops, I'm not coach, it's just my opinion.

concur. i dont think change the line-ups is a wise move.
i predict INA would win 3-1 over GER and CHN would win 3-0 over KOR
