I would say the pressure is not on LCW BUT two pairs of MD. One of them lost to CHN pair then MAS TEAM already can packing back to msia.

If LCW win, uncle ahfook and ahwah betaen by the CHN pair then who do u think is capable to contribute another 2 wining points for mas? 1 point for sure will rely on KKK/TBH and another crucial winning point from who?

Our VETERAN CAPTAIN or from our ALL ENGLAND CHAMPION?

WCH is good but not enuff to beat BCL.

for China to secure a win, they just need to take one MD match. it should be no problem taking 2 MS.

for Malaysia to secure a win, they need to take both MD, and one MS.

i am not sure which one is more difficult.

the problem with China is that Fu/Cai can never play against MAS MD, they tend to get a mental block, be it CTF/LWW, KKK/TBH or Fuzzy. so for China to really fight it out, likely they will need to win all 3 MS.

I am hoping that Mas can upset China, but it's really very difficult......It's either going to be China 3-0 Mas, or Mas 3-2 China..

    That's the reason..

..why quite a few of our loyal M'sian BCers have emptied this forum and traveled all the way to Jakarta to lend their support to the MAS team and push 'em through. They can't really yell to their computers, by typing, so might as well pack up their bags and yell out their support LIVE!!..Smart!! ;)

Brother, I would say Malaysia biggest challenge is their mental block. We gotta admit it, mentally we are not strong. We are weak.

If LCW gets a beating by LD tomorrow, I tell you the rest of the Malaysian shuttlers will fall apart. But if LCW can somehow turn the table on LD, his win will spur the rest to play above themselves and things may go either way. 50/50.

LD is the main man. He is the undisputed King of men singles. 2 WCs and 23 Super Series/World Grand Prixs plus 1 AG gold. The man is up there amongst the legends.

when LD wins that OG Gold, it will really cement it...otherwise, he'd be just a great one, but not really lengendary...

U must be experiencing your 1st TUC in your life.

Don't u know that the default order of play will be
    Singles - Doubles - Singles - Doubles - Singles
unless some singles player is also playing doubles and I don't think none of the players from CHN & MAS is playing singles and doubles at the same time.

Your 3-0 prediction just does not make sense at all.

To be realistic, MAS can beat CHN 3-1 or 3-2.

Met YKH and LCW this morning, wished them all the best.

I wonder what would the atmosphere be if the Mas vs Ina rivalry is continued at Istora.

But for the time being, advantage points to their respective opponents.

possibly zhao jianhua, yang yang, morton frost, sidek brothers, along those lines...but that's just my opinion...and i still have to agree with you in some light, LD is pretty close to that type of status...maybe in 20-30 years, we'll still speak of him...although you will be eventually right...when he finishes...barring some type of career ending injury *knocks on wood*, he'll probably BE the best...

We have to win both the MDs in order to keep our hope alive...
I'm really scared to see LCW vs LD......always hoping LCW can spring a surprise or at least give a good fight...

Lin Dan is already the best singles player in the world. There's no one that can match the sheer dominance he is exerting. Even among his peers from China, Lin Dan is a giant. Gong Wei Jie, Chen Jin, Bao Chun Lai, who were all slated/trained to dominate are not on the same level anymore.

Many may not like Lin Dan, but he is already Godzilla legend.
