Just unbelievable match from both players.
But for Maria to come back from 3-11 in the third and won 21-15 in the end is absolutely impressive.

    I'm sold as a die-hard fan now!

Her profile at wikipedia has been updated....so fast
"In the quarter-finals, Saina is playing against Maria Kristin Yulianti, who is the world number 16 and was part of Indonesia’s Uber Cup runners-up team. The match is currently tied at 1-1 each. Saina won the first game 28-26, but Yulianti came back with strong performance of 21-14 in the 2nd game. The match is now in the 3rd and deciding game. Saina currently has a very formidable 11-4 lead in the 3rd game. But, Saina exhibits a Royal Choke to lose 21-15. At one stretch of that 3rd game, she won only 1 point compared to 15 by her opponent; that recklessness or nervousness cost her the game, match and the 2008 Olympic medal dreams!"

3-11 down huh? Then Maria has broken the record for the biggest comeback to win a game after being down at interval.

Previous record was 4-11, set by Bao Chunlai when he beat Roslin, 2 years ago.

KOR pair powering way through JN defence.

JPN are only winning on KOR errors. KOR defence very flat, JPN just seem to lift it ack though.

    8-16 KOR

Sorry about your idol Taufik losing in the first round I was so upset about that but looks like you have a new idol now in Maria Kristin. Hope she can beat the old Zhang Ning and at least be guaranteed of a silver. Let's hope for another miracle or she takes whatever stuff she took from the coach during the 3-11 interval against Saina she should take twice as much when she plays Zhang Ning!:D

They must be upset with the trouncing of Jung/Lee in straight sets. Lee/Hwang might pose some threat to Fu/Cai now.....
