Based on the old Yonex serial system, my guess on the date for the cone code 21079 4 is 21 Jul 1999.

coulda sworn there was sarcasm in that

xD so you're 100% sure it's fake because of cone code? blah only reason I checked is because someone told me today that the (original) grip feels 'different' everything else looks good =/ thanks

There are some serials that are obviously fake which many of us can tell and some we can't tell. This is where Leehsim comes in and checks for us.

Fake. no such thing as 97th day and 0th month. The price is too cheap to be true.

It's amazing how there are fake low end rackets how. Normally you would try to go for high end to make for money.

I have checked in the information of your Yonex MP 99 shaft Serial:7190945; Cone Date Code:101074SP (date=10 Oct 2007) to my information list of Yonex rackets made in Japan, its serial no. and date code are legitimate.

However you still need to inspect the other physical features of the racket carefully and compare the specifications to ascertain its total legitimacy or authenticity yourself
