you really didn't know that did you? in europe, we all know how it's done, mainly because of the fact that (at least i think) everybody else does it ''your'' way
well yes but your people don't like to be identified as ''europe'' so they're always different everybody thinks of the UK as 'special' not as 'europe'. guess you've got what you wanted haha just joking hehe that's a way to look at it
Who says UK people are my people? the UK is separated from the rest of europe by water, so the exposure we get to FRA, GER, BEL etc.. culture is minimal. Scandanavia is also different as a long way away from the above.
oh, I just used ''your people'' as a way of saying the brits, from which i believed you were part of when i saw your location I justed wanted to point out that Brits tend to not like it when they're identified as europeans, that's all I think it's a good thing, actually
Bolk is definitely better than Phelps... as Bolk can be faster than all his opponents by a mile. Not the same thing for Phelps. Lin Dan is the same situation as Bolk, as he is also way better than all his competition by a mile(at least in this OG) Therefore my conclusion, Bolk > Phelps Bolk = Lin Dan Therefore, Lin Dan > Phelps
I am not LYB fan or Winston. You can ask forum moderators to check for you if you prefers. You can agree or disagree with my opinion, but don't claim something that you are not 100% sure of.
u have to excuse huangk, his phasor is still set on stun after having some social interludes with cooler
"lol, still, swimming is just (almost brainless) repetitive motion at full speed. Even tap dancing required more brain power." Someone has never been in any competitive swimming (Age 6 and under included). This comment is absurd. I dare you to try to swim a 200m by doing the same repetitive motion at full speed. By 50m you will be tired out. Swimming takes TONS or brain power to be able to speed up and slow down based on how you are personally doing, how long you have left, how steady the water is, and how fast you opponents are going. Not to mention things like starting, turning and finishing can make or break a race (Michael phelps second to last gold) and these have nothing to do with repetitive motions. Phelps has to make a instant decision at the end on how to win (Coast, full stroke, half stroke), and because he is so good, he can do this better than anyone else in the world. Had the opponent in his second to last gold been able to make this decision like phelps, he would have won. Not to mention the peak physical condition Phelps has to be in to have the speed and stamina he has. He puts tons of effort into swimming and its paid off and he deserves 100% of the credit he gets. (Not saying badminton players dont)
This make no sense at all. You cant count womans stuff for men's golds and you cant say swimming has 34 golds if your only giving Phelps 1/4 a gold. He can only swim for one person. Let me fix. Here is the opportunities each player has considering m/f. Having more than one person earning the gold doesnt make someone deserve only 1/4. Thats stupid. Each person has to perform 100% to win. Total gold metal for swimming = 17 and badminton = 3 MP got 6 individuals + 2 relays, i.e. 6 + 2 = 8. percentage = 8/17 = 47.06%. LD 1 out of 3 = 33.33%. Phelps is superior. He has to be able to perform at Olympic levels in 4 strokes and be able to swim multiple races per day in order to qualify for quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals in EIGHT different events. I dont see LD playing this many games in one day and dont say badminton is more tiring than swimming. Swimming takes every last breath out of these athletes. They usually can barely breath after an event.
