No mention of what the prizes/prize money are... Note the sponsors..the same sponsors organized a tournament earlier this year...Good news was that I won the singles, not-so-good news was that there was NO prize money, and the prize was "Aerial" Badminton racquets and stuff which i have never used.. so, would help if we know in advance what we are playing for (apart from playing for playing sake)...
There is an ongoing 'Intra-District' team tournament at Geylang West CC (near Kalling MRT) with 4 teams playing - Jalan Besar, Geylang West, Kampong Glam and Macpherson. The tournament started yesterday. The playing format is the same as the Intercon ie MS, WS and 3 x MD (including 1 Verteran Doubles). Those interested can go down to Geylang West CC this Thursday 16/10 and next Tuesday 21/10 to watch. The matches should start from 6.30pm onwards.

You information on prizes Hi, The tournament main aim is to promote and raise the standard of play Prizes are similar to the previous year and hence the registration fees are cheap. I think prize money will be introduced on the 3rd run only. However, the registration fees will be much higher.
Eh no prize money....will be a waste of time.... you wont be able to attract good players. if got prize money, regn fee higher also no problem.
Similar to the Gek Poh CC tournament. Give a chance to those not so competitive to join in lor. A good experience and chance of a life time.
The main objective of this inaugural tournament is to promote badminton to Woodlands residents. With a pool of competitive players gathered from this tournament, Woodlands CSC hopes to send a team to take part in next year's Inter-Constituency games.
