Last heard, the person in charge is not accepting anymore people to be Liaison Officer(at least for the Chinese speaking teams)..One of my friend tried to apply for it last week and was denied.. I guess they've already ordered the clothings(Yonex) for all the LOs, because they will be sending them from Japan.. Sorry to all who is/are still interested..
All Liaison Officers and Interpreters Positions are filled Hello All, All of the Liaison Officer and Interpereter Volunteer positions have been filled. Please do not email me any more applications. :crying: Thank you, Todd Aubin
hey hey! i was wondering! how are they going to give out the uniforms? are u gonna send them to us? or hand them out when we get there?
To answer your query, I'm not sure how and when.. But as far as I know, the person in charge(Vicki Toutz) said there would be one last "large" meeting with the whole Liaison Officers involved. Whether this meeting will involve giving out the clothings to the LOs or not, I'm not sure. But i believe, ALL the LOs will need to attend that *mandatory* meeting, which hasn't been given any date *yet*..Perhaps during/after that meeting, we'll know if they've given the clothings or not.. We'll let you guys know when more infos come in...
Latest informations for all LOs.. OK folks, For those interested and are involved in helping out as LOs in the WC, I just got new infos from Vicki regarding the next "big meeting for all LOs". According to her, the meeting will take place sometimes in August. There is no date set yet for that meeting, but I would guess it will be a few days or perhaps the week before the actual WC. She also mentioned that she will be sending new email(s) within the next 2 weeks or so to all the LOs. The email will basically give the upcoming tentative dates for all activities as well as the job descriptions for all LOs. She will need to get some approval for the dates, from the organizing committe, prior to sending the emails out.
