    God, Cooler, are you in the business of inventing new players?? ;):D

    Arup = Anup
    Sunny = Sony

    Anyway, Ronald beating CJ would constitute a pretty big upset too (despite the circumstances). What about the Poles beating He/Yu in XD?

    I'm lucky I didn't post. I was going to say if XXF loses to WMC, I was going to change my name from "DinkALot" to "BananaPanda". ;):p

    This WC is on the verege of becoming the worst ever editions with so many UPSETS all around. Among the TOP 3 MS players, ONLY left LD in the running for GOLD.
    It would be nice to see an LD vs GADE final.. At least will be more entertaining in terms of high quality. Any other Finals lineup other than this 2 players, it will condemn this year WC to the WORST status !

    And we thought only Taufik knows how to create drama until Chong Wei, Xie Xing Fang, Chen Jin all joining ... And we are only in QF stage!!

    I probably rank Sony's win and Taufik's loss lower. Sony used to be very good. He can beat anyone when he is in top form. Taufik probably lacked of preparation while spending time taking care of his pregnant wife. And maybe couldn't sleep well having a new-borned baby who waked him up every 2 hours. :) But WMC's win really shocked me.

    no more excuses for TH.:D TH was happy and self admitted he is 80-90% in form from an interview. What's more can any athletes ask for right before a tournament? LCW was considered by many as the most favorite to win in this WC. Only after this unexpected early exit we hear about all these problems with BAM and head coach.

    I bet XXF lost over WMC is the biggest upset. 2 sets only? WMC really well prepared with her gameplay against XXF.
    SDK actually has ability to be top player. TH lost his motivation after get major titles, Luluk/Alvent yeah, you know, they are like roller coaster, sometimes good sometimes bad. LP/JR have been over their peak.

    Official excuse on XXF's loss to WMC (from The Star)

    Chinese chief coach Li Yongbo said: “My player came here to win but she failed to do so. The crowd played a big part in the Malaysian’s win today. Besides, Xingfang was not feeling well.”

    Now we know :rolleyes:
