It was very close in the 1st game, Angga/Ryan even led by some points, 11-7, 15-12, but suddenly (as you said they're inconsistent player) the table turned around, and Lee/Yoo closed the game with a 16-21 victory. And as expected, they're mentally down and lost with a very easy in 2nd game. Huft.

Wow, just checked the score and found some amazing result by Indonesian shuttlers. Especially Greysia/Nitya who knocked 2nd seed to proceed into finale. Good job! Now they're already there, is it too much if we ask gold? Hehehe... Indonesia still has chance with mixed doubles (Tontowi/Liliyana and Jordan/Debby) and men's double in Hendra/Ahsan. As for Bella, Tommy, Ihsan, Angga/Ryan, they must stop their journey today. Sad but hopefully they'll be better next tourney. As for comments in previous thread, I agree that the player shouldn't be happy with ability to upset certain seeds, they have to be consistent enough to reach at least semifinale, finale or even be the winner, imo. But as a spectator, especially someone like me who has been through times when we have many good players, but now only few, a win is an oase, hehe. I have to be realistic with our Indonesian player atm, aside from mixed and men's double, we have almost nobody. Even at some point, I wonder how can we left with them as our top shuttlers. But yeah, as for now, I think I'll keep my mood as a happy spectator, especially when Indonesia still has four participants here, and one already in finale. All the best! Bring GOLD home!

Just finished watching the replay of Lin Dan vs H Yun. G2 was simply amazing, mind-blowing, as Lin Dan was actually a good 7 gamepoints down at 13-20 when he made an incredible, Houdini-like comeback to take the next 9 points on the trot to wrap up the match, denying his presumably shell-shocked opponent a decider. Even so, I hate to repeat myself, this 'new', tamer,milder version of the Lin Dan we used to know is far less fast and furious, nowhere as explosive and threatening as before, that coupled with his somewhat more error-prone game which can be attributed to his still being rustiness, means that more often than not a number of his opponents are able to stretch and push him hard or take the occasional odd game from him. Good thing is he realized after the match with LDK yesterday that he really has to work harder going forward. Incidentally, his three year older opponent, Hu Yun at 33, was playing more aggressive attacking badminton than him, not saying it's more advantageous to do so. OTOH,I must add that it is not at all easy for anyone to emulate Lin Dan's rallying stroke play to the level that he can to great effect.
