the highest price is US$289 for 9 days...

since i can't afford the time off or the high price, i wonder when tickets go on sale from... the quarters onward? hey, since it's in the US i assume we'll be having a lot of BF members there, maybe we should all meet up:)

Ticket on sale 15 months prior to the event??? I think I might need to wait for another several months (hope not going to sold out) to carefully plan my activities.

Well, I doubt I can attend all 9 days, but the last 4-5 should be my best bet. BFers gathering, sure... ;)

Whatever the price is, for 9 days, it is cheaper than going to Disney land per day.

I support the gathering for BFers and how about a mini tournament for the BFers at the same time period? Let's play in the morning and cheer in the evening. So BFers live in LA area, please suggest where we can play?

Your best bet is OCBC(Orange County Badminton Club). It's right down the street from Anahiem Pond, where the WC is going to be held at. OCBC ranked the highest to be the best gym in the country dedicated to badminton.

Hopefully I'll be getting tickets this weekend! Sounds like it's gonna be loads of fun :D

BTW, how is it for 9 days? :O

I thought the tournament goes from, the 15-21st which is 7 days.

It is not nine days, it is nine sessions.

there are two sessions on the 19th and 20th august, respectivley.

What I find funny is that they have set aside a whole session for the WD finals!! 4 and a half hours! do they know something we dont, gotta be a classic match! :D

then they schedule 5 hours for all the other finals.

    gathering for sure!

tournament maybe, i will be happy enough if we can get together and play for fun instead of a tournament. we will feel like nobody after we watch the WC, us "competing" would be a joke in comparison. :)

but really look forward to it.

I think this is Kwun's way of subtly saying, that he'd quash us in play and doesn't want to make us look bad ;)

But yes, would definitely be fun gathering, and playing throughout the week!! :D

Getting ticket now??? Isn't that a bit too early, as its 15 months away? ;)

Personally, I really can't schedule my activities, say more than 3 months ahead.

i also wonder about the same thing. less fun if they are assigned seatings then fans cannot sit and yell together. or BC/BF'ers cannot sit together.

i will plan to make a BadmintonCentral.com banner. that will be cool!

i wonder how quickly the top prices tickets will be sold out?
