    mens singles draw format

Maybe its because I am new here, but when I looked up the results, I see 3 players in each pool. I'm not used to seeing this sort of format.

Does it generally work the same as the standard draw sheet? If not, how does this system work?

Ten tournaments, ten different ways of publishing the results ! Like this one on World Cup web site, does it worth the effort making it so confusing !
