2009 French Badminton Open - Sunrday November 01 (Finals)

Yep, as I said early this week already - it's gonna be Taufik's day'!:D:D:D - at least I still do hope so!:eek: First we need to hope that he fights for his life, it's gonna be a hard match since Lin Dan got only his lazy training session yesterday called by LYB :mad: and might not be tired at aLL, anyway, I really hope the impossible happens today and we see Taufik on top!
Taufik, Taufik Taufik, c'mon, do it!
The other interesting match is the MD - hope for a 30-29 in the rubber, but don't know who to cheer this time, like both pairs - so just lets enjoy the game:eek:
 
XD FINAL
Hendra A. Gunawan/Vita Marissa [7] vs Nova Widianto/Liliyana Natsir [2] -- this will be Nova/Butet's best chance for a farewell title and their first title in Europe. Overall, they deserve that, after having played together since Oct 2004! 6 years of partnership with 2 World Championships titles! Of course, there are disappointing moments when they failed to win the All-England and Olympics Gold Medal last year as well as the World Championships this year. But, I would consider them to be a very successful XD pair, the best INA has for quite a while and it will be hard to replace them :cool:

MS FINAL
Lin Dan [1] vs Taufik Hidayat [4] -- safe to say, it will be a miracle if Taufik can beat Lin Dan.

MD FINAL
Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan [1] vs Koo Kien Keat/Tan Boon Heong [2] -- Kido/Hendra are perhaps slowly finding their best form, with the hope that the peak will come at the All-England next year. That will be the ultimate goal! As for the match today, it will be great if the INA pair can beat Koo/Tan. But, given their still-inferior record against the MAS pair, I will not be too disappointed either if they cannot win :cool:

To us, first match is watchable :D
Hopefully the first three matches finished in 2 quick sets so we could watch 4th and 5th earlier :p:p. This pray are for all other sleepy eyes, we gotta work in the tomorrow morning hahaha

No problem for Nova/Butet as they cruise through the first-set 21-7. They will take home their first and probably last European SS title!
 
Nova/Butet have a commanding 11-3 lead at the interval of the second-set. This must be their easiest win in quite a while :eek:
