Gan/Tan seemed ok when they were training at the hall this afternoon, no problem with side to side movements, be great to see them play
guys the tournament will be held in MSAC at Albert Park, Melbourne. i always play badminton there once a week. Last week i saw many australian players been practising hard and i believe its for Aus Open. Last year i went to see this tourney, but the audiences are not many, most of them are players too. As for the ticket price, i cant remember but its not expensive though. and also Indonesia only send 3 players this year. The seeded player is only Alamsyah Yunus (3/4).
Glad that this problem is fixed . Glad that you have spoken to the organisers to have this problem fixed. .
..according to schedule, Taufik is currently participating in the Canada Open this week & not in Australia Open..
in the Mens Singles draw, it looks like a Tien Minh Nguyen vs Alistair Casey final, interestingly, these are the only men in the hens singles draw to be going to the World Championships. I believe
What!!!! Only $90 to enter the tournament. As a spectator, I have to pay freaking $100. Next year, I am going to participate as a player instead. Can save me $10 for some dim sum.
Nguyen Tien Minh has been practicing to get familiar to our court/hall condition . It would be great if Alamsyah Yunus [3/4] can meet up with Nguyen Tien Minh [1] and to give him a hard match. Currently, AY is relaxing in his hotel and has not been seen on court, while NTM has been practicing to get familiar to our court/hall condition. .
Yup. Day 1 today and it's in the same hall where you played badminton before. Good thing about not having a stadium is players and spectators have to sit together.
Another wow, Yoga Pratama of INA MS is being forced by relatively unknown AUS MS, Nick Kidd. 21-17 17-21 and trailling 5-6 at decider. CMIIW, Yoga Pratama was (or still?) member of Pelatnas PBSI squad (INA national camp).
Nick Kidd is not unknown, gew up in Australia but moved to england after he finished juniors. As he had english grand parents (i think) he was a duel citizen and then represented england at senior level. was their number 1 for several years. Last represented england at 07 World Champs has been back in Aus the last few years, is now trying to make the Australian Commonwealth Games team
