Lin Dan takes the first game against Sho Sasaki, 21-16.
I undestand our Vietnam players now, and how the system plan for them, honestly i don't have any hope on it!
As expected, Sho Sasaki forces Lin Dan to rubber games, but Lin Dan should turn out the winner in the end.
Unless SS can surprise by giving it all out in the last 5 points to stop LD from attacking!
Hehehe, predicting a 21-16?
This is not very good. LD has 3 smash winners against none from SS!
SS must not panick and should smash back at every opportunity!
LCW held back many times and lost in the past!
Now interval with LD on top with 5 smash winners 11-6, against none from SS again!
First smash winner from SS but still trailing 8-11.
SS better close the gap quickly before LD smashes him point blank again!
Loh, LD was at the bad end now. So he increased the pace in the first half of 3rd set to pull away the score from SS. LD knows he has a little problem with the bad end which is why he needed the lead.
If I am SS, I won't be panicked just yet since I am at the good end till the end of 3rd set. Patient and good attacking play is the key for him to win this.
Jiang Yanjiao def. Liu Xin def. 17-21, 21-14, 23-21
Comfortable lead by LD 16-9. Come on SS, smash, smash, smash - otherwise he is not living up to his SS name!
Wang Yihan def. Sapsiree Taerattanachai [Q] 21-9, 21-19
On Court 4, Chai Biao/Guo Zhendong vs. Liu Xiaolong/Qiu Zihan. Liu/Qiu are ranked 36th in the world, while Chai/Guo are ranked 41st.
My goodness 7 smash winners for LD now with a huge lead 17-11. No wonder SS can't smash as readily as LD as he is in the bad end, right?
Very good exposure for Sapsiree, the inaugural YOG champ.
On Court 3, Bao Chunlai vs. Boonsak Ponsana . Boonsak is ranked 5th in the world, while BCL is ranked 13th. The head to head record is 5-1 in favor of BCL, with the last victory registered at the 2009 Singapore Super Series (21-19, 16-21, 21-15).
Though SS has narrowed the score to 15-18, with 3 smash winners so far, it may be too late to catch up now.
Wow another smash winner for SS bringing it to just a point difference, 17-18.
