For our BC PAW Game results; http://www.badmintoncentral.com/for...nner-(PAW)-149-–-DENMARK-OPEN-PREMIER-SS-2011 Happy that I am doing quite well at the PAW Game. Who will win titles at this tournament? My guesses; WS: [3] Wang Xin (CHN) MS: [1] Lee Chong Wei (MAS) WD: [2] Tian Qing/Zhao Yunlei (CHN) MD: [1] Cai Yun/Fu Haifeng (CHN) XD: [3] Joachim Fischer Nielsen/Christinna (DEN) .
MS - Chen Long over LCW MD - I'm going for Cai Yun/Fu Haifeng. WS - Wang Yihan should be too strong WD - I still pick Yu Yang/Wang Xiaoli XD - Taking Joachim/Christinna One for Denmark CHN 4, DEN 1
Mine: 1) Wang Yihan (CHN), though I prefer Wang Xin for her fluid atacking style; 2) Lee Chong Wei (MAS), but Chen Long may surprise again; 3) Wang Xiaoli/Yu Yang (CHN), two powerful attacking players; 4) Cai Yun/Fu Haifeng (CHN); 5) Xu Chen/Ma Jin (CHN).
If WX wins the WS finals, it will be because its a setup. In 5 previous encounters, WX has never won over WYH, and has gone down in straight games in the last 3. A win for her will buffer her points tally in the SS rankings.
For once, the timing is perfect. Watch Rugby WC final from 1:00am-3:00am, the DEN Open final from 3:30am onwards. Sleep the rest of the day, haha
My take: MS: CL over LCW–will be tight but if it goes 3 games I reckon the fresher CL will nick it *WS: WYH over WX–if WX does win, the crime squad should get involved MD: FHF/CY over LYD/JJS–the CHN pair are too strong, too confident and too in sync *WD: WXL/YY over TQ/ZYL–form and logic indicates this but who says logic ever meant anything in a CHN v CHN match XD: JFN/CP over XC/MJ–something for the home crowd to celebrate. Another nail biter on the cards *Disclaimer: I shouldn't be predicting on matches that cannot be predicted since the outcome is not determined by the players themselves.
if there was a setup or fix for Olympics points, why not let Wang SX win over Wang Xin ? Since Wang Xin has much more Olympics points than WSX. Also, why in WD China master, WXL/YY had to w.o. to Xia Hua/Tang JH? XH/TJH don't need Olympics points but WXL/YY do. Why Xu Chen/Ma Jin w.o. to HHB/BYX in final? Same question here, since only XC/MJ need olympics points while HHB/BYX don't.
LYB is getting senile in his old age. He gets confused easily with how the Olympic ranking points works, who needs them, who doesn't. Either that or one of his underlings didn't update his Excel spreadsheet.
well, all those Hearsay are built on speculations, and strengthened because it fits all speculators mental needs. many times, we believe something just because it feels good. but reality check will fail. there are fixings of course, but for the w.o., there were also multiple reasons. it's not just for the olympics points. and also LYB cannot control even 50% of that.
. I believe you have not been updated with the latest Ranking Points. Currently, Wang SX is 15,593 points ahead of Wang X. http://bwfcontent.tournamentsoftware.com/ranking/category.aspx?id=2645&category=473 .
we are talking about Olympics points, not the world ranking. Please make sure you are knowing that. Wang Xin has accumulated 44594 points for Olympics, while WYH 43660 and WSX only 40147. When you assert something, that must be accurate for the facts. Since olympics points are different from world ranking, you can always find your proof no matter what. But the truth could be different.
actually, i found that no body care about the facts. when LD wo to CJ, and CL. all the south east asian media and fans, and also professional players including LCW, Taufic, claimed that's Chinese olympics points strategy. LD wo to TTM (vietnamese) also. how to explain that. people always believe hearsay just because hearsay always make them feel good, they don't care about the facts at all. even LD indirectly accepted that, what a shameful thing. LD never care about facts either. No body care about it. the truth is obvious that LD's afriad of losing. He doesn't want to play if he fears the lose. He indectly accepted the strategy to save his face too. LD could lose to SS, WKK, why not CJ and CL. Of course China has the strategies to promte 3 guys in final 4 in Olympic ranking, but wo of LD was not one of that. The facts were that LD made decisions just night before the real match, which surprised all teammate and coaches. LD got LYB's approval just several hours before submitting to the organization committee.
For WS, I picked Wang YH not just because of her head-to-head record over Wang Xin but more because Wang YH is a complete, all-round player; furthermore, she is now more steady, less nervy than before - but this second point is irrelevant here as she is always calm and confident when playing her teammates, only non-Chinese players can rattle her. And should Wang Xin wins, I wouldn't smell anything fishy as she can be scintillating in her attacks as shown by her performances against non-Chinese rivals such as Tine Baun against whom she has a perfect record ( a player who troubles Wang YH the most in terms of head-to-head), Saina Nehwal, Juliane Schenk, etc. It is just somewhat uncanny to me that she often loses to her rival teammates Wang YH and Wang SX in major tournaments;like her, Jiang YJ also suffers the same fate but that's because she is clearly the weakest of the four. Maybe after losing to Wang YH so many times, this time is her lucky break (based on real play, not for out-of-court reasons). In the past, even Icuk Sugiarto whose nemesis was Yang Yang ( I cannot remember their head-to-head) won the occasional odd matches.
. You are right in this case. But as we get closer and closer to the end of the OG qualification period the World Ranking points and the Olympics points are the same. .
that's exactly my plan too! but before that i have to attend a violin recital and then a pumpkin carving party. then maybe string a couple of rackets and then rugby worldcup and denmark open. i doubt i can stay awake. i fell asleep last night before the mx match finished only to wake up seeing KOR vs. INA for a few minutes and then fell asleep again!
I'm afraid you're looking doomed again. Ditto for me. I tried to watch the Wales v Australia 3rd/4th place match a couple of nights ago and barely made it to half time. Then... ZZZZZZZZZZZ. Tonight dinner + wine is not a good combo for staying up late (or should I say overnight)
I find this a very interesting opinion. What I would like to know is if your your assertions, especially the last paragraph, can be backed up with facts or not (sorry, no pun intended ). That is quite a damning statement you made there.
Two questions , who made wo decisions? Then why? Most people think lyb made the decision, that was untrue. I am 100% sure that. they were all Lindan's decisions for those wos. I guarantee that to you. What I said doesn't mean no team orders. It was lyb's order in last Olympic semi chen jin gave up to LD. Second why? Where there is always multiple theories. Only Lindan knew, but he won't tell the truth. The reason he gave to lyb were injuries and fatigue, the reason he, LD, gave to media were help teammates, speculators just firmly believe that was Olympic strategy. But the facts no body asked him w.o.at all. Hope this clears this matter.
