2011 French Open SS: Round 1 Wed 26-October

Let's see who are the players who will move to the next round (to gain more valuable qualification points for the coming 2012 Olympic Games).

Previously, I have given links for Live Streaming, but not all countries can share the links. Perhaps some BCers from different countries can post their links that are working for their regions.

    Thanks nokh88.

With my Badminton activities in Melbourne (doing Coaching and organising Social Games), I found just enough time to open this thread and to participate in our BC PAW Games.

If I don't find enough time to open any tournament threads, I hope you would/could open them too. :):):)

2011 French Open SS Round 1: Will Daren Liew defeat Hans-Kristian Vittinghus?

    .
Finding so many PAWers picking Daren Liew (MAS) to defeat Hans-Kristian Vittinghus (DEN).

    I have also joined in.

Good Luck to Daren Liew. :):):)

Haha, Liew Daren to beat Hans? Must be joking, Hans has played and earned quite good results in the European Circuits :p

Oh no...did I do something wrong? I can't replace you. I am not good at digging up informations. This honour belongs to you. I am sure everyone is happy with all the work you are doing now.

:D:D:D But sometimes I could be too to post and/or to start a tournament thread.

Today, I am also following our Queen of Australia (also the Queen of England) who is visiting Melbourne. She has just departed Melbourne minutes ago, going on to visit Perth, Western Australia.

I'd like to see how far Wong Wing Ki can go, first K Tago, then Du PY,then either Sho Sasaki or Peter Gade before meeting Lin Dan (assuming he progresses) again.

As for Chen Long and Lee CW, I'd expect them to advance unhindered to clash again in the semi, barring unforeseen circumstances. Another great and entertaining week ahead. Lin Dan in the final against whoever is a bonus.

    Cheers!

Peter Gade isn't "only" Mr Evergreen; in badzine,I read an article calling him Peter The Great, as indeed he is.

For those who missed it, the following extract from badzine interview of Peter Gade:-
BZI: I’m going to put you on the spot. Who do you think is the more formidable opponent: Lin Dan or Lee Chong Wei?
    Gade:
Lin Dan is maybe the best player ever in badminton. On his good days, Chong Wei is also fantastic but he’s a bit more of a machine than Lin Dan. But both players are fantastic. To comment on another thing, I think that Lin Dan proved through this year’s World Championships that he’s the best player – to win four World Championships and one Olympic gold – I think that’s really great. Chong Wei is also good, but he still needs to improve mentally, but he’s really a strong player. It is very difficult to compare. If these two weren’t around for these years, I could have won a lot more tournaments! [laughs] I’m happy to be part of many great matches against these two, so it’s alright.

Lee/Chien of TPE even it up at 1 game apiece with ZN/ZYL. 21-19

What a difference from G1 when they had so much trouble with the CHN pair's speed.
