I really like this Japanese ladies! They play very offensive not like their mates who always lift the shuttle up!
I do agree with you that it's more about their perception that the goal of glory belongs to the country more than the individual. After all it's nation who finance the players from the beginning. Above prize money distribution, to my knowledge the lion share goes to the player him/herself, only smaller fraction goes to association. If one day badminton is so successfully in adopting the prof. path such as tennis, incl. the amount of prize money(!), then thing may totally change... but of course, the players must finance themselves from the outset then.
The Chn youngsters still raw, if they play WXL/YY they are difficult to get many chances to smash.........
I think that's China's and LYB's way of protesting against BWF putting most of their Chinese players in the same half of the draw. In the past, they used to split players from the same nationality as far as possible. But then, other problems arise, eg China won most of the semi-final places and/or all-China affairs in the finals. I guess we need many more strong non-Chinese players to solve this problem, other than imposing fines and points penalty for inappropriate withdrawals.
Walao.............LD dont even bother to lift his raquet............!! What excuse he give this time ah............LOL
