Let's see if there will be two mental breakdowns in a row ... rolleyes. Good entertainment value in the end in a meaningless(?) encounter ...
One of the best finals finish ever - even for just a Level 2 final. Imogen Bankier and Kristy Gilmour were just as much overjoyed as well as relieved that they do not have to go to court one more time against fresh opposition.
Robert Blair was very steady in that match. Even the camera crew was rooting for Scotland - probably partly because they are not willing to work overtime on a Malaysian Public Holiday.
what an interesting tactical move resembles a newcomer team chess playing facing a stronger team... sacrificing one member to earn back the point else where instead of losing both
Wow what a MD match from The Netherlands against Scotland! Thrilling and nervewrecking. The Scottish pair played great and Paul van Rietvelde (what a Dutch name for a Scottish man!) really outshone himself at the final stage of the match. Robert Blair's experience played a big part here.
Yes, and for meritorious service in the faces of Bosch and Ridder, he was elevated to Umpire-hood ..... you can check pics in the photos thread.
Tactical move is indeed one factor that make team events like this SC became more interesting as it can provided us more surprises and upsets.
Can THA upset KOR? very unlikely. Can DEN upset CHN? very unlikely. Most likely, it will go as expected: CHN vs KOR in the FINAL CHN is still the favourite to grab the Cup, however, KOR could upset CHN in the final round, if anything goes wrong to team CHN like what happened in Uber Cup 2010.

Here are the schedules : Match overview Order Event KOREA (KOR) - THAILAND (THA) 1 XD Ko Sung Hyun Kim Ha Na - PrapakamolSudket/Thoungthongkam Saralee 2 MS Lee Dong Keun - Ponsana Boonsak 3 MD Ko Sung Hyun/Lee Yong Dae - Jongjit Maneepong/Puangpuapech Nipitphon 4 WS Sung Ji Hyun - Inthanon Ratchanok 5 WD Jung Kyung Eun/Kim Ha Na - Thoungthongkam Saralee/Taerattanachai Sapsiree
Got a sneaky feeling THA could pull this off. This tie looks a lot closer than it should. THA could conceivably win XD, MS and WS.
Both KSH and Kim Ha Na will be playing 2 matches each, if it goes the distance - KSH will definitely play 2 matches...
