It's going to be a foregone conclusion, AY will retain her title.

As predicted, the talented Akane Yamaguchi grabs her second WJC gold to eliminate two CHN GS en route to the title, Qin Jinjing and He Bingjiao.

I am surprised to see HBJ so tense and nervous. AY played well and deserved to win. But the number of unforced errors committed by HBJ were too many. I hope they will move onto the circuit and face each other again. It will be interesting to watch.

Lin Guipu passes the last hurdle to beat reigning Asian Junior Champion, Shi Yuqi. The last time CHN junior win BS title is Tian Houwei in 2009 edition.

It's all over for Team INA. No Gold yet again this year (sigh) and anti-climax for Rosyita Eka Putri Sari....being in 2 Finals and losing to Chen Qingchen in both matches. As expected, the CHN GD pair Chen Qingchen/Jia Yifan is too powerful for the INA pair and won easily 21-11, 21-14.

So, 4 Golds for Team CHN (including the Mixed Team Gold), 1 to JPN and another one to be contested between JPN and THA.

This kid Lin Guipu is quite entertaining to watch, from the few videos I've seen of him he is scarily quick and aggressive almost to a fault (i.e. becomes too predictable). More impressively, he won at the age of 16, if his reported birth date of April 21, 1997 is correct. Let's hope that his coaches can imbue variation in his game without turning his style into a boring, defensive pusher one like Chen Jin in his later years or Chen Long. Hopefully he won't burn out like some other past world junior champions did. I look forward to more great things from him, perhaps contending for the gold medal at the 2020 or 2024 Olympics? We'll see.

Congraz to Dechapol Puavaranukroh/Kittinupong Ketlen 1st BD world junior champion for Thailand.:D:p

Before individual event THA badminton fans expected medal from GS (Busanan) but in my mind
I expected medal from Dechapol ,he done it and took 1st gold medal BD WJ.

I observe their game this year so improve more last year but all credit to Indonesia Superliga this year to gain their experience make them improve her skill so much.:)

Two years in a row INA juniors failed to bag gold, 3 silvers (WD, XD, team event) and 2 bronzes (MS, MD) this time, overall result is better than last year.

The most surprising outcome, not CHN, INA, KOR or JPN but THA to claim BD gold, well done!

    Lin Guipu

I have seen the videos too and also hope for the same . If only they (Lin and the other youngsters in WJC 2014 et al) can become another Taufik, elegance and guile or LCW and L Dan speed, power and defence and lastly P Gade elegance and consistency. These four personalities produced exciting and memorable badminton and brought it onto the world stage.
India and Japan have got some interesting young players and together with the others from all over the world I hope these young players can excite the tournaments with a few upsets. I think BWF should introduce automatic entry ala the Masters and The Open where the champions of the major junior competitions get into the first round of some GPG or SS competitions. This may improve their experience and abilities.

Does anyone know where I can find the results? It seems that BWF took down the results on tournamentsoftware?
