as expected, nehwal lost to li without giving any fight. unexpectedly though, minatsu mitani took the second game and its neck to neck in the final game, wonder if the tiredness accumulation from the previous match will come into play in the final game, she must be exhausted.

Eric as I've never seen him play before, so cool, calm, collected and in control with his delicate touches at the net, clever defence and counter-attack. That said, Tommy himself is also a steady, tough customer.

One of the member in some thread had some strange statistics. He mentioned that whoever beats saina in world championships , she will lose in the next round something like that. I don't have belief in all these gimmicks. But that statistics still looked like strange to me . No idea.

I suspect, at the start of G2, LXR wanted to slow down a bit to conserve energy but when she realized she couldn't pull away and even fell behind, she decided to step up her game towards the end to finish it in two sets instead of wasting time and more energy playing the 3rd set.

Eric Pang for me the surprise of the tournament and he plays the tournament of his life! Awesome :D
I like this 'underdog'. But I share your opinion that this is the last stage and match for Pang at this tournament.

This WC is throwing up plenty of surprises, from the lead-up to now as the tournament progresses.

yeahhh. .i think that is what has happened in the previous world championships that whoever beats saina nehwal has lost in the very next round to her opponent but that does not mean it will happen always, it is just a coincidence, that's it.

It should've been 21-18 to Eric from 19-18, instead it's 20-all deuce now.

Eric missed his chance to take G1 and Tommy did it with 22 - 20.
    Absolutely thrilling!
