I think LYB need to respond to this. He should order walkovers for all 4 events!!! That will teach BWF a lesson!!!! :D

But seriously, there should be some kind of investigation into how court assignments are decided.

If the goal is to give more publicity to the sport, the top stars and exciting players should be on tv. Not to mention, given the huge global chinese population, it would make sense to show chinese players. BWF should do some market research to see who their audience is.

International appeal. Truth be told, I rarely bother watch or get excited about both opponents being from China and anticipating a 'good' game. And that's the fault of the CBA.

Whereas I have no problem in watching two Indonesian opponents battling it out together.

Oh I believe that all Indonesian MD match will be full of emotion.

Both Kido and Hendra never won at AE during their time as MD Pair.

They are now paired with different players, and all of which would eager to fight to the death to reach the final stage.

If any of these pairs win at the Final, then the loser of this semi final match will suffer from a pity story ... :(

    IMHO

I rather watch low stars who plays all out than top stars who plays fake matches.

In my opinion, they choose the matches for the TV telecast in a way that spectators all across the globe would be intrigued to watch. They've included matches of players from different countries for the telecast including China, Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan and Thailand so they can attract more viewers.

It's simply Ah Q mentality - when you cannot beat them, discredit them and rationalize every actual failure as a psychological triumph. Oversimplification, overgeneralization, over-exaggeration, distortion, misrepresentation, what else...all the usual stuff, repeated invariably, incessantly, like a mantra.

I think it is more concerning that Ko Sung Hyun played the last match yesterday which ended around midnight local time and he has to get on court first today. With all the post-and pre-match exercises he sure didn't get much sleep.

You just described your own post, didn't you

On a more serious note, I myself have no problem watching an all CHN matches, as long as it is seriously played. I don't care where the players come from, they still play badminton at the highest level. Unfortunately, those team orders are happening more often and apparent, and they make some people cynical.

I'd rather watch XC/MJ lose than KSH/KHN getting steamrolled ...
