Jindapon is such a ferocious attacking player and has very quick reflexes, the number of body smashes she returns is remarkable. She came so close to upsetting LXR, in my opinion; if LXR were to be a bit more erratic, the match would be NJ's for sure.

Thanks, that means the linecall protest at 18-15 succeeded, it became 19-14, then LXR took the next two points for a 21-14 victory.

Oh man.. Give me a break.. I accept you are a huge chinese fan.. For the god's sake, she is world no. 1. If she loses to any player then she will not forgive herself. But unfortunately, she has some of enemies as well with whom she will be beaten. Nichaon jindapon is not even closer to her ranking. But she made li xuerui to run for her money. But for your knowledge, she is not that much good not to be beaten by anybody.

To be frank, my faith in LXR was shaken - first by her tendency to commit errors (which luckily wasn't that high today) , 2nd by the way Jindapon played in both offense and defense, esp her ability to turn defense into attack, that impressed me a lot.

Just noticed, Liu Xin beat Yao Xue, the latter's breakthrough has to wait; it might just be Liu Xin's tournament.

Another bout of misery is underway for the main Indian WD pair :(

Ashwini Ponnappa had better get herself a partner who can move.
And she needs to find that partner soon... or she too will be out of the circuit!

Jan O Jorgensen is so cool today.
As soon as his shot went wide, he was back in his court, READY to receive the next serve :D

Obviously, that was a tactic to prevent Lee Dong Keun from taking a (much-needed) break.

But the umpire allowed the break anyway.
Jorgensen wasn't pleased and sauntered over to the umpire to express his unhappiness :D

Is she the only one who serves with forehand in double?

The two Danes - Viktor Axelsen and Jan O Jorgenesen - conclude their matches at almost the same time.

    I guess so.
Many of the Indian singles players too use the forehand serve.

Infact i watched one point where jwala was standing like a tree in front and aswini was running running running to get every shuttle thrown at the court. I don't know how come she believed jwala to be her partner when she did not even co-operate on court. Jwala need to move on in her life . She has lots of options .

It's several hours now but the scores for the very first match of the day haven't been put up.

Whoever is in charge of IT management at the tournament needs to be fired, kicked in the behind and also exiled to some remote island on a one-way ticket :(

Uchida Shizuka is not having a good day :(
    0-7 against Wang Yihan now

It's crazy but she is lifting deep to WY each time WITHOUT noticing that WY is actually staying put at the baseline.

Height and size do play a factor in this match.

It goes to show that a player who has nothing to lose can give his/her all and play above himself/herself - such a one is a particularly dangerous opponent for any top player.
