QUARTERFINALS (02.00pm, 3 courts) : http://www.tournamentsoftware.com/s...628FF0-F6D8-42D6-9C25-6A3446AB0037&d=20140404 MS, with convincing mode at two previous rounds looks like no problem for Lee CW to eliminate Kashyap Parupalli, the third home shuttlers en route to semifinal. Three Danish MS will face tough opponent today, Jorgensen has pretty good chance to overcome resilient Takuma Ueda while Axelsen and Vittinghus need some extra effort and brilliant strategy how to wrap up Du PY and second seed Chen L respectively. WS, four Chinese players in quarter, who will deny all CHN semifinal? MD, the most dynamic category, JPN and CHN have secured 1 semifinal spot at top-half draw. Danish veteran Boe/Mogensen v Ko/Shin should be close one WD, Olympic Games group-stage rematch between Juhl/Pedersen v Tian/Zhao, interesting to follow also Ma/Wang v Takahashi/Matsutomo as well XD, top-three faves still survive and high possibility will step up into semifinal LIVE TV (Court 1) matches : 01) Jung Kyung Eun/Kim Ha Na (KOR) v Vivian Hoo Kah Mun/Woon Khe Wei (MAS) 02) Chen Hung Ling/Lu Chia Pin (TPE) v Maneepong Jongjit/Nipitphon Puangpuapech (THA) 03) Mads Pieler Kolding/Kamilla Rytter Juhl (DEN) v Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir (INA) 04) Saina Nehwal (IND) v Wang Yihan (CHN) 05) Lee Chong Wei (MAS) v Kashyap Parupalli (IND)
@Loh ,just discovered Starhub Sports Channel 203 will be showing the QF Ct 1 matches, it wasn't listed in the TV schedule the last few days. Including the SF and Final.
I'd like some of whatever drink Woon Khe Wei & Vivian Hoo had at the end of the first game. After a miserable opening game, they are 7-0 up now against the Korean WD pair!
Personally I will not want to read too much into this and some other results of this leg of the SS. Except for the players of the host country who may be obliged to go all out due to crowd expectations the other players, the Asians especially, may be playing here as part of their preparations for the coming TC/UC. Just my opinion.
