Srikanth has no one but himself to blame for his early exit. A pattern he started in Malaysia, Singapore, Australia and now Indonesia. Fear has crept into his game. He shows lapses in concentration and plays poorly instead of his best. This loss to Anthony will hurt him. We will either see him crumble in the world championship or see a more determined Srikanth. So far he has shown that he doesn't have big match temperament. In particular at the Thomas cup and Sudirman Cup he was a bundle of nerves. The World Championship and next years Thomas cup will give an indication of his upward or downward movement. In 3 years time he will face a lot of good players and he needs to build mental toughness urgently.

    Slight OT:

Wow another brother Karel also in JPN? How many brother are there in this Mainaky family in total?

INA employs Rexy, Richard and Marleve.
JPN top assistants to PJB are Reony for MD and Karel for XD?

The Indonesian crowd is fantastic! Imagine watching a match in silence, how boring would that be? It is natural for crowds to be passionate about their home players. Like Indian crowds are passionate when Indians play. A good player will not be affected by the crowd. They learn to soak the pressure and use it to their advantage.

Indeed Saina played better than what the scoreline suggests.
If she can play like today, I believe she will beat Shixian.
Last time she apparently lost due to food poisoning. I thought something was strange about her game last time in Australia. But this time I am expecting she will win.

Commentator Jill once said that she loved the Indonesian crowd, even when they were against her. I am disappointed by Srikanth's loss too, but I don't see why the crowd has to be made the scapegoat. I like the electric atmosphere.

This guy Anthony Ginting was the 3rd best junior player after Shi Yuqi and Lin Guipo of China before he graduated to the seniors. So Srikanth was beaten by a very good player in his opponent's turf. And Srikanth probably underestimated his opponent.
Hope Srikanth learns from this and comes back here stronger next time.

    actually 21-13, 21-15

Of course it's nice to have a good atmosphere but I still prefer if I can hear the sound of the hit shuttle very well. :D

The quality is very good, too. That's the stream of the recorded videos on YouTube, isn't it? But the quality is worse on YT, probably because of the recording.

We have 2 INA WS suprisingly still survive. Then, 1 India, 1 Thai and 1 Jpn after LXR finish off Yamaguchi later today. Next is the trio China WS. I still see only SN can play toe-to-toe with the chinese here. Go SN and RI.

Momota wins and sets up a match with Anthony. It will be a good and tough match. ;)

Kashyap will be chasing a dream against Chen Long. Kashyap is playing with confidence and without fear. If he plays the same way, he might upset Chen Long. I know it is a one in a million chance but it is possible. :D

I hope CL is feeling the pressure as the lone Chinese MS remaining.

LXR is not as fit as Akane, she can't outrun her opponent in long rallies.

Akane fights back in Game 2: 21-18. LXR has more experience and a bigger arsenal of weapons. Akane will have to play really well to upset LXR.
