Definitely a psychological problem with Axelsen. No reason why he should beat LD and CL and lose to "weaker" players then.
i Kind have feeling that V Axelsen is just not a big tournament player i mean he can be so good from R1 all the way to the final but somehow he is just so different in the final, even against a player that he can actually beat.
This is the real Viktor Axelsen, not the one who beat Chen Long yesterday. In that match he was like a man possessed, not his real self, his normal self, nor his true standard.
There's not a lot in it between Momota and Axelsen age wise, but in my eyes, Viktor isn't ready to play with the big boys. He behaves like a child. Just look at their conduct on court, Momota is composed, focused, and mostly quiet. VA is pacing around like a pissant, swearing constantly, and almost gritting his teeth between rallies. This is not the behaviour of an adult, let alone a professional.
Momota is not a weak player mate...............LD has predicted great things about him.......Watch out..
IMO, VA self destructed in front of all the viewers and audience. This is the finals of the SS finals, it such a big match! To play like this is really terrible the viewers and audience deserve a better match than this fiasco
I am not impressed with Viktor Axelsen's manners at all When going get little tougher...All i see this guy does is kicking the racket, using F word non stop, smashing the net,,,smashing the court......and has anyone notice...how he stares at his opponents..........I have never see someone staring like that............
Here you go. As i predicted earlier, Victor won't win in the finals. He will choke in the finals. As usual, he did choke again. Congrats to Kento. This boy (man!) deserve this title.
Once again you misread my post. I said "weaker". Don't you think that Momota is weaker than LD and CL?
It is, shamefully. I can't stand people that behave like that. I just won't play with them. In a tournament I'd call the referee to umpire.
What impressed me most about Nozomi is the way she beat Marin twice, not so much her victory over WYH who,in my opinion,is actually the better player but weaker in fitness. That's not taking anything away from Nozomi, just putting things into perspective; their rivalry will heat up in the future. Btw, Saina's win against Marin is also commendable, worth mentioning. On the whole, WS is still quite an open field, I don't see any dominant player yet. Instead what we're seeing is one player or other on a roll for a period of time, taking turns to win a couple of tournaments or matches.
