JOJ actually showed great mental strength, in contrast with LD. Remember in the first set, JOJ got a yellow card from the umpire. I bet if LD got a yellow card, he'd probably have walked off the court hehe.

Sportsman, yes. Sportsmanship? Never...and I think he is at the bottom of the list.

I remember one very vocal Jia You poster (while defending tournaments held in CHN) said that all the line judges are trained officials. Now with livestream, you can clearly see that they also double up as moppers. And this applies to all tournament in every country.

line judges do have training, it is not like they pulled them out of the street and put them on the chairs. however, as the task is quite simple, and therefore so is the training.

Yup, and the most important criteria is eyesight.
But some of them are senior citizens usually in European countries.

I really detest the current service rule! The repeated and unchallengeable calls of service faults do damage to the badminton game! Regardless all the written service rules, it has the nature of some subjectivity, and sometimes it more looks like an inclination of the service judge to show off some undeserved authority or existence on court :eek:

    LMAO....'Sportsman of the Year award'

LD will put all these haters back to their cave in few months.....

Once he wins the Olympics again, JOJ can have a look at his irrelevant career and press Shift + Delete.

Watch the above video from the 2011 AE. Fast forward to the second game when the score stood at 20-9 and don't forget to listen to GC's comments. What Sudket did is no different from what LD did yesterday. In both cases the match was no longer salvageable. Sudket literally tarnished the image of the oldest badminton tournament and the second most prestigious one after the WC if one chooses to interpret it that way. To those of you who are so fast to jump onto the high horse of badminton sportsmanship and shoot at LD from your hips can you please dig up your comments on Sudket's misdemeanour and post them here for everyone to read . Just because LD kicked their idol's bu** time and again in all the major tournaments some people see it fit to resort to selective criticism.

It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

Funny how people think because someone else has done something bad, it somehow justifies the bad deed for another person. Fun times.

I did not say that what LD did is right. Don't put words in my mouth. I just want to know whether people who criticise LD are consistent in their views when it comes to other players. I hope my English is plain enough. As far as I am concerned Sudket's action is funny.

Lin Dan a sore loser ? This must be the greatest joke I've ever heard in this forum. Try saying that to ex-BWF President Dr Kang Young Joon.

After what happened in the semifinals today, how do you explain that JOJ who 'crushed' Lin Dan is himself really crushed by LCW ?

Just because you don't like or hate Lin Dan doesn't mean he has no right to air his grievances in public, that he is not justified in complaining. Now that he has spoken, it is for the tournament organizer and BWF to address his concerns and investigate his accusations.

Nobody in his right mind, let alone someone of Lin Dan's status, would speak out like that if he didn't think he has grounds for doing so. Do you suppose he is a fool to risk his reputation, honour and credibility in such a manner ? How often have we seen him raise such issues throughout his long career? Hardly.

It's so easy for some of you here to ridicule and criticise him hiding behind a cloak of anonymity.
