If the players are afraid to be faulted by the service judge, why don't they put their racquet a little lower, just to be safe? I say, if they are faulted, we should not fault the service judge, but the players to be so careless. Very easy to be under the first rib!

surely. but if we say, set the height to the waist of a typical 6 feet 3 inch tall person, then it should be ok? shorter player have the option of going higher than their waist.

ZYL/TQ got trounced by 2nd JPN WD... ZYL shouldn't be paired in WD she should just concentrate in XD. TQ is not speaking to ZYL ever anyway.

He did conquered Brazil once last year. He can conquer USA just before he retire like Taufik won one in US.

It is much harder to maintain badminton form for long. Let's see how her coaches manages her in the next 4 months.

Hmmm. They probably have to estimaye his waist level. Maybe they use the line on his shirt to help determine? ;)

Agree. It's unfortunate that he has weight issue. It does hamper his playing career.

With RI and also TTY, it s not just form that takes them to the finals. They used to only have speed and skills but not enough stamina to be champions. Now that they have put in the gym work, they are realizing and enjoying how they can play better with less effort; they are imbued with refreshing confidence to win. And confidence is the key to winning.

Gym work is hard and boring work but so essential to being a champion among champions now which is what an Olympic WS champion has to be. There are at least 8 WS who can get the gold depending on their performance each day. There s still lots of room for some of them to improve so they will turn up a different player during Olympics. One of them will be the champion because they will stun their opponents who would lose for making the mistake of studying the wrong, outdated syllabus.
