I'll never understand why the Russian men's doubles pair aren't ranked higher consistently. Also saw them live at all England and they were phenomenal

Amazing that sozonov can come back from such a severe injury within such a short timespan and still be playing at this level

They havent been as consistent. Though they've been taking the fight to the more established pairs for a while now.

Impressive, they've been improving of late. Now they seem to be rising to the occasion.

Nope, I'm using a paid VPN now, because I'm sick of the slow/laggy streaming.

so it looks like this will be the standings for the MD group qualifiers:

    MD Grp A:
    Ivanov/Sozonov
    LeeYD/YooYS

    MD Grp B:
    GohVS/TanWK
    FuHF/ZhangN

    MD Grp C (most likely)
    BoMo
    Kim/Kim

    MD Grp D:
    Endo/Hayakawa
    ChaiB/HongW

Peter Gade coaching the French players, talking to Lansac in English. Surprise he doesn't know enough French to communicate with them in? I thought he should be aware the French are very proud of their language, therefore speaking to them in English is a no-no. I think he would pick up more French as time goes by and switches to their language one day.

(Sorry, I'm watching the TV delayed telecast).

Yep, he slowed down the tempo to snail's pace which made LD clueless for a while but one misjudgement at the Baseline was enough for LD to knock him down?

There will be twist plots. I think some team use the strategy to choose runner up position as the neutral ways to continue their journey in this olympics.

I noticed it happened when Tang Yuanting/Yu Yang lost to second best KOR WD. It should be by planned, not the real result. This WD lost some points easily at the second game. ;)

My prediction is: Duo Kim lost to BoMo and GBR beat POL

The result is BoMo and Ellis/Langridge will go to QF stage
