I don't feel too much for this match up.

I'll go with CTC, because he's young and promising, and I think he seems like a nice guy. He can become really strong, and we need guys in the future to challenge Viktor ;-) Otherwise people will just be ranting on in the LD vs LCW threads for years to come. Let the young guys take over!

I like and respect Hu Yun a lot, a fantastic late bloomer, but I must admit Chou Tien Chen has a better chance of upsetting LCW.

For that reason alone, I'd pick CTC to advance to the QFs and take on LCW, as I believe all Olympic medallists of any colour have to be the best of the lot, though things don't always work out that way with so many factors in play.

Who knows, CTC might just end LCW's career here, not that I'm wishing for it, as LCW would be a broken man for not being able to win even a bronze in his swan song Olympics. Professional sport is that cruel.

DEN-KOR isn't in the matches of the day? Pretty sure that should be a good one.

Looking forward to JOJ vs. SK today. This could prove to be a blast of a game.

I haven't seen Srikanth play for a while, and even though I hope he is slowly regaining his strength again, I surely hope that JOJ will take this one. JOJ's a contender and I dont see SK as that (but anyone can win a single match at this stage).

JOJ has shown a very good level so far, only playing bad in the first half of the second set yesterday (where Leverdez changed tactics after being demolished in the first set) - it took him until the break to get a grip, then he steamrolled him at the end.

I'm happy to see JOJ "ready" like this, after yet another half year of minor injuries and setbacks. I'm hoping that his mental game is ready as well...

PLUS: I'm looking forward to the coach handshake btw Jonassen and XX, in the quarters. They know each other well, after that epic battle of the 2003 World Championships (They were the 2 best players at that tournament, and had a blast of a quarter final).

Also the last XD match of the day is a clash!

Similarly,I won't be surprised if Kidambi Srikanth edges out J O Jorgensen today.

Scott Evans is clearly the underdog against Viktor Axelsen. If Axelsen's temperament doesn't act up, I don't see an upset in the making, that's not to under-rate Scott but it'll be nice if he can do it. The I'd count Scott Evans as another late bloomer to join the exclusive club of Hu Yun, Sho Sasaki, and Wei Nan.

As for Ng Kah Long - Son Wan Ho and Rajiv Ouseph - Tommy Sugiarto, not much to choose between them as I don't expect any of the four to go past the QF stage assuming Chen Long and V Axelsen survive their respective quadrants.
