Fantastic the Japanese WD Ayaka Takahashi / Misaki Matsutomo won the match. Much as how I want the Yu Yang / Tang Yuanting to win they lost. Anyway congratulations to both pairs for paying so well making the finals so exciting.

 

The JPN defence broke the CHN attack, that added to the fact that the CHN are a bit out of sorts, sealed victory for the JPN pair.

Chinese pair never appeared to get into the game at all. Good win for the Japanese pair.

 

I think CBA has been experimenting with their WD combinations too much and for far too long, now they are desperate to get at least two pairs safely into the top 8 for the R2R; to make matters worse, Zhao Yunlei was recently injured and still not fully fit, and has to withdraw from this tournament. Such a situation is putting undue pressure on the CHN WD in every tournament they play.

 

If Iskandar can take a game off LCW, that'll be a very positive sign for him going forward.
