Great atmosphere at the stadium today. Didn't expect to see so many people for the second round. I even met HS Prannoy. Really humble fellow. Vittinghus, BYJ, Mamota seems to be in great form. Can't say the same for Sindhu. Great win for Zwiebler though.
Wei Nan won!!! I can't believe I didn't stay to watch LCW and LD play, as it may probably be the last time they will play in India. I hoped to see them in semis or in finals. Sad that now we cant even count on the legends to win in the initial rounds.
Another bad sign coming in. Shin Baek Cheol / Chae Yoo Jung just lost their first set of the XD match to an unranked Thailand XD player. Hard luck indeed. Now second set also losing.
I mean LCW is no spring chicken at 33 years old, if he works hard to win here, he'll likely starts next week's homeground MAS Open in less than ideal conditions. Not sure if this consideration is weighing on his mind. Whatever, Wei Nan is a always a tricky proposition for any top player, esp on his day.

Imagine it, a bitter pill for me to swallow. Shin Baek Cheol needs to do double duty. Perhaps doing double duty has certainly taken a toll on his performance. Can he cope? I mean can he win medals if he needs to do double duty?
Argh.. sorry but those night matches certainly has taken a toll on the players performance. Too bad. I am just wondering what would be the outcome if these matches are played in the morning. Nor giving the players any excuses but then perhaps this too might have contributed.
