And thus, they lived happily ever after.
Bought a ticket today for the whole week. Really looking forward to it!
The outdoor (Alpens side) ones or the indoor ones?
Hope you enjoy your week!
Throwback to the 1995 World Championships and Sudirman Cup (these two tournaments were held together back then) which was held in Lausanne, Switzerland.
When will the draw be made?, please help me, Im too lazy to check through some official source
IIRC, the draw will be made after Japan Open is concluded.
5th August 2019.
Ms and md will remain same as jo.
Is this list accurate?: https://www.toernooi.nl/sport/players.aspx?id=F4F75B1C-E72D-4248-865F-8EC38C06F7CB
Would love to see some fellow dutchmen compete! I guess MS (Caljouw) and maybe MD (Maas/Tabeling), WD (Piek/Seijnen) and XD (Piek/Tabeling) would be possible.
Carolina Marin and SYQ listed for the WC draw.
Will they play? That's another story but everything is possible.
Both have been entered to play a long ago. They might have withdrawn by July 23rd deadline, which we will get to know once the draw is out on the Aug 5th. Or they might take a call to play/withdraw later

Here is the initial seeding list for WC

There are some things that I find interesting.
AY and MatsuNaga rise back to WR1 at the right time, thus granting them the top seed spot.
CM will occupy the 10th seed spot, meaning she will meet one of the top ladies in R16. Must be tough for her if she really decides to participate in WC.
KS is thrown out of the top 8 spot. He was regularly placed within the top 8 seeded players. If he doesn't step up, he will suffer an early exit starting from this WC.
Lee/Wang and Kim/Kong are both the seeded pairs after being paired not so long ago. They are being invited as the last reserved pairs.

Axelsen is out:
Thanks,I just found out - he withdrew citing back injury.
"The injury is a disc protrusion in the lower back, which is a precursor to a slipped disc, causing pain in the back and legs."
Does anyone still need weekend tickets for the WC19 in Basel?
China in a mess in ms. Potentially no gold except xd. If thai xd is on form, then no gold for china.
Shi Yu Qi declined the invitation on 1st August 2019 as latest update has been published by BWF.
