not sure about reporting either. it is just "incredible", "excellent", "so exquisite", etc, etc, generic complements, and yes, no substance at all, it is like reading from a book.

She sure is more eloquent and bring excitement forced or otherwise and remembers facts, anecdotes, rankings, and medals from past performances but there's more to commentary. She lacks enough knowledge to dissect strategies being used on court, adviced by coaches and why. What one should rather do or even about technical skills being used. A commentator seeks to enrich the viewing experience not just by bringing modulation and put away dullness in a match but also to increase the viewers knowledge and help them understand the gameplay n gameplan. Which is why it's absolutely critical that she pairs with someone like Steen

It's a pity we don't have more ex coaches or aspiring coaches from English speaking communities to join her

final should be interesting.... if KOR can get as pumped up as yesterday then they have a decent chance of toppling CHN

as for INA vs IND hmmm on paper INA should win...but you never know...

From Prannoy's post match interview - “I wasn’t able to lunge. There were a lot of things going on in my head. After the slip it was hurting a bit more than usual and I was wondering what to do, I thought I’d try to manage. I wasn’t sure of what movement I could do and what I couldn’t do. It felt like it was all going downhill, but I thought I shouldn’t give up, let me just see how it goes. I was hoping it wouldn’t get aggravated. The pain started reducing towards the end of the second game, and in the third game I was feeling much better.”

“More than physical, it was a mental game. I just couldn’t afford to lose the focus. I was thinking a lot on court, but I have done a lot of mental training over the last six months, and all of that worked today. I was extremely focussed, and this is what I’ve been working for, to be in the zone.”

He probably is going to be fine for tomorrow's final, hopefully. Good thing is he has got a day off to rest and recover.

CHN has 3 dominating WS and the undisputed best WD, it can’t be more favored than that. Plus, Korean WD, which is their strength, has had no success against Chen/Jia in the past. Anything other than 3-0 would be a surprise.

True that, I am in no way trying to bring them down because they obviously are good at what they do and watching badminton when they are not commentating is half the fun. Plus I have met Gill and Morten once and they are very humble; specially Gill, she's as enthusiastic and lively in real as she is in the commentary box. It's just that sometimes they spot one odd thing and then they keep pressing on that throughout the whole match and Steen often defends the players from Denmark which given his position as a commentator doesn't sit well with me. Nevertheless, their combination is perfect in technically assessing the ongoing matches and imparting a thrill and excitement for us viewers and I will gladly take that. No one is perfect.:)

Also at last she voted for China to lift the Uber Cup ...Love you Queen Im rooting for China too.

Go Team China...Biggest Indian Fan of Legend Madam Gao Ling is cheering for you Team China.

ASY has no answer to CYF's attack.

    CYF looks so relaxed.
