2024 French Open (5-3-2024 to 10-3-2024)

This type of close rallies. Every rally to fight, every inch of the court getting attention, the speed neither too fast neither too slow is so reminiscing of good old Lin Dan Lee Chong rallies (theirs was more poetic).

In WS, Zhang Ning or Carolina Marin (I think she is top contender for GOAT status).
Yeah, but neither of them dominated like Lin Dan did during his era. In other words, TTY was denied by different archrivals in all the major competitions, apart from many of the other prestigious titles.

Lin Dan is Lin Dan :D. But you also have to see biological factors in genders. So in that way, Marin is definitely a top contender (her comebacks from career threatening injuries is also an added factor).

Tai TY was practically leading comfortably all the way and even held four matchpoints in the decider versus ASY, yet she couldn't finish it off. Ouch, that hurt - doesn't bode well for TTY going forward, her inconsistency is still an issue.

Again the same problem against KV, when in trouble more pace is not the solution

That has been a perennial problem for Lakshya. If you mess with him, he’ll crumble mentally. String of points will come. Impatience is taking over him.

Not sure what's happening to Lakshya. He got masterclassed in game 2. I think he got send the wrong direction like 3-4 times. And now he's being outplayed in game 3.

He doesn’t have the shot quality to counter a good playing KV. That’s something he tries to overcompensate with pace, which is not the solution (at least against KV)

I’ve said this thing to Sumanth before. Their dynamics is like LS (LCW) who is technically weaker and tries to compensate with hardwork, will be submissive and will be a reactionary player against Kunlavut (LD) who is very smooth, smart and much more technical, uses less energy. That is what it is sadly as of now.

KV said to his coach after losing game 1 that he felt "stiff" when he was leading because he wanted to win. After that it seems he found his way back being relaxed.

Lakshya Sen loses in 3 game against Kunlavut Vitidsarn. Lakshya was impatient and his length was too short in Game 2. He was mentally lost in game 3.

Satwik/Chirag have an easy 2 game win against Kang/Seo. They are attacking and defending well. The Korean wall crumbled.

Lakshya’s devastating loss was overcompensated by Shetty/Rankireddy. More than well done guys!

Wow, that Lee from Chinese Taipeh might be the next big Thing. So smooth, the netplay reminds me of Setiawan somehow.

Dont think they will be a two Hit Wonder. Will be contenders for big Titles.
