I'm confused.
Some are by passed the first stage ? like group ASY and TZY ?
ya, singles in olympic are always like that since 2016. That’s adventage for top rank (except the case of anton and jochi)I'm confused.

The olympic draws are imbalanced, some players have more or less free ticket to reach QF and some players have to struggle already at group stage.
Compare JC and AA draw. JC is actually ranked higher than AA and still has a group with 4 players, no bye after group stage, + harder group opponents.

It’s partly due to Olympic rules. The number of participants is limited by the Olympic committee and not BWF. Then BWF has to provide the structure for the tournament.damn thats so unfair.
VA has an easy way to SF and F again.
Even Viktor has to play a match extra but if he wins , he can reach quarters directly due to his seeding.Draw favors viktor again…but JC draw is so unfair, why he must play extra?
Scotland is a part of GBR. England comes out as GBR in Olympics. More medal chances!Kirsty representing GBR?. What happened to Scotland?.
This is the first time. Thanks to BWF wrong points calculation. Ronan fought through court to book a place.Men’s doubles will have 17 pairs - one extra place for France.
Presumably one group will have five pairs.
is it bwf? or ioc? This is the first time. Thanks to BWF wrong points calculation. Ronan fought through court to book a place.
Very very slim chance to say. From my observation, 3rd time Olympic attempt mostly failed : Gao Ling, Yang Wei, Lin Dan, Yu YangSindhu , for her 3rd medal, she need to cross He bingjiao in knockout stage, Chen yufei in quarters, most possibly Marin in Semis . Its extremely difficult. But considering her reputation, its still possible.
